Just left a service for my grandfather- affectionately called Pop pop. I was very disappointed in the service.

While they provided time for the family to share some remarks, we were cut short. I was actually on my way up to speak when the director cut me off for another song to be performed. A gentleman then came up and claimed he didn't want to preach to us....then spent 15 minutes preching, telling us that we all needed to accept jesus into our heart "if you ever want to him (pop pop) again." He continues on with a very spiritual message while not mentioning the deceased for a good 10 minutes.

I went up to Betty, the funeral director right after the service to let her know that I was actually on the way up to speak about my grandfather when i was cut off. I asked if she could please ask if there was anyone else who who wanted to share, before moving on to the next part of the service. She replied that they were on a time crunch, and that i would still have time....when ther wasn't additional time. She also said that after we had to find her and ask for the service to begin since she was running behind schedule from the beginning.

While the funeral home did accommodate us by arranging insurance-covered transport and a viewing, the overall experience felt unprofessional and lacking compassion. From the start, the staff member who we worked with came across as insensitive and failed to reassure my sister during such a delicate and heartbreaking moment. When it came time to pick up the ashes, the interaction felt cold and detached. This was a deeply emotional time for our family, and the lack of warmth and empathy made it even harder. Attended a service there. The building is in need of repair all around including the cracking paint. There is a tall older gentleman that spends too much energy attempting to harass young women. Close the establishment for an overhaul or for good. Go yourself to evaluate what others have said. Hard to find a more run...
