Marine Max Islamorada, formerly Native Marine is run by Tommy Brashares and his team locally with support of nearby Marine Max affiliates. Tommy is a top notch individual that I met in Miami in Florida at the boat show to look at Boston Whaler's as a second choice vessel. Fortunately due to circumstances it became the 1st vessel of choice, of which I am grateful, due to the quality and fit/finish of the vessel as I am very persnickety to say the least. When dealing with Tommy on the transaction, I had the pleasure of working with Melissa and Captain Alexis. These are two players on Tommy's team that are well seasoned players and at the top of their game. Melissa takes care of the parts/service/admin and is the back office backbone of the business and Captain Alexis works with you on making sure that you have a working knowledge of your vessel, its components and training as well in the functioning of the vessel. Due to the newness of this branch of Marine Max we also received support from Reg out of Ocean Reef and Ken, in addition to JC out of Miami. Together this is a greatly supported organization.

I’ve known Tommy for about 4 years. I met Tommy when I started searching for a place to purchase a new boat (first time purchase) in the Fl Keys. I had done some homework and was very interested in a Duel Console boat. I was able to meet Tommy who was always very professional. Tommy most importantly was honest and down to earth and at no time was he pushy. The boat purchase was obviously a big purchase and Tommy was able to set up a test drive at a Marina with the boat I was interim purchasing. I also met Tommy at the Fort Lauderdale International boat show where I was able to see the boat again. I discovered that once a year Yamaha offers a 6 year engine warranty and Tommy was not pushy and was patient until I decided to purchase the boat. Tommy set up easy financing and g Had a recommendation for insurance and a boat cover if I was interested. When the boat was received I met with Tommy and finished the purchase with no issues. It’s been over 3 years since I purchased the boat and I’ve had some issue but he’s helped me with getting them fixed in a timely manner. I met Tommy while purchasing a used boat. I live in Orlando, FL and Tommy was in the Florida Keys. Doing business with someone on an item that expensive over the phone can be nerve racking. You’re wondering who you’re dealing with, never having met them and hoping that they have your best interest at heart. You might even begin the phone call just wondering if it’s a waste of time. That was not the experience I received while working with Tommy. He helped me professionally, timely and in a way that earned my trust. We spent several calls together and he gave me a video tour of the boat to help me feel more comfortable. In addition there were a few things that didn’t go as planned when I picked up the boat, but Tommy made sure I was taken care of. For me that’s a big test if someone is able to feel empathy and live up to their word. Because of that I’m now the happy owner of an amazing boat and have made many memories already for my family and I.
