Kiki's Hair Studio — Local services in Jacksonville

I have been going to Tasha who works in Kiki’s salon for about two or more years. I was recommended by my mom who thought she did great work which is what I perceived at first too. However, I will not be returning due to the change in her service. First, she came in about 25 minutes late to my appointment and didn’t acknowledge it or even apologize. Then she proceeded to tell me that I was not her client even though I’ve been to her before. I gave her the benefit of the doubt because she explained her confusion and I thought we were good to go. Yet, she then tried to change my appointment type twice which were both more expensive than the service that I originally booked and have always booked with her since I first began my journey with her. From there she then decided that she was not going to wash, fully blow dry, trim, and style my hair. Instead she told me that she would only be doing a trim. She also did not fully blow out my hair to complete the trim. Instead she did it on a fro. She then called another client of hers which I assume is a regular and told her to come in for my appointment time. I am disappointed in the way that she has changed her services to only cater to those who are able to come more frequently and dismiss those who do not or are unable to. I would not recommend her to anyone who may be looking for a new stylist as she may not be as hospitable as other reviews claim since those usually come from her regular clients. Extremely professional! This studio is small, but that's perfectly fine by me, because it was quiet enough to have a conversation without anyone needing to talk over anything else.

Tasha was on time, the most important thing someone providing this type of service can do, especially when a deposit is required. She was also very attentive to and knowledgeable of my hair type, so the twists came out great and the parts were perfect.

This salon is the best in Jacksonville...her prices are wonderful and she educates you on your hair and products. I have long hair and I don't like too many people in my head so I am so glad I found a salon. She is my beautician in Jacksonville for life.
