Long story, this salon does not disappoint...from the moment I spoke with Ms. Lynn to the moment I left the salon, I felt welcome. I will start off by saying she knows what she is doing, and I would steer anyone I know in her direction. Ms. Lynn worked me in when I was just praying I didn't have to wash/condition my own hair, and God answered my prayers instantly! I walked into her salon 10 mins later and she was surprised how fast I arrived...ironically, I was sitting in a Publix parking lot and googling hair salons near me. She was one of many that popped up, but the only one that was actually open that early to service my hair care needs. I have to say this was by far the best salon experience I have had in decades! She worked me in as soon as I arrived...I know I didn't even wait 10 mins. She told me everything she was doing to my hair and even asked if I were allergic to any oils that she was using. I received a pampering and not just some basic hair washing service. Ms. Lynn's presence alone was lovely, and the salon atmosphere was amazing! I had a horrendous experience at this salon. My braided style lasted no longer than a week. It was initially done by someone else who was scheduled to fix the style, but did not even show up to do so. That said, I attempted to discuss my concerns with Lynn, the owner.I Showed her the text messages as proof that her stylist scheduled time to fix my hair. After several attempts to communicate what was going on, we came to an agreement and she apologized and told me to come in and get my hair fixed. She told me to come back to her shop at 6 am. At this point she seemed to be high off of something because she seemed unstable, constantly mumbling stuff to other clients and her eyes were blood shot. The things she was saying didn’t make sense. About an hour into the appointment my hair was washed and then nothing was done to it. She became agitated with me about the style I specifically requested. I told her I am going to leave because I was feeling uncomfortable and I requested a refund. She told me that she was going to call the police. Started my locks Oct. 2013. Because of my profession, I wanted to make sure that they look professional at all times. I went to Natural Glow and they did just that! They gave me detailed instructions on how to care for and maintain my hair in between coming to the salon. I became one of their most faithful clients. During my work travels to DC, Maryland, and California between June 2015- June 2020, I refuse to allow anyone else touch my locks. Using the instruction they gave to me, I managed to come to them at least 4 times a year. Yep, my first stop off a long flight back home was always Natural Glow. Throughout my 7 years locked, my locks are clean, healthy, and my roots are strong. I'm always getting compliments on my locks, especially from the men.
