I have been coming to Regal Cinemas for a long time. I love 4DX! Unfortunately this will be the last time I take my family here!
Today 9/15/2025 approximately 6:40pm I took my family to see a movie in 4DX for a animated movie 7pm showing . As we walked up to the concession stand regal cinema employee Josh who was extremely polite and respectful asked us the age of our children due to Manager named Austin Ashley questioning the ages of my children. I gave them my children’s ages. On the radio Austin stated to Josh “I don’t believe them!” The Manager stated to Josh “they will not be able to see the movie, they can come get a refund.” Josh apologized to us as well as the concession stand employee for manager Austin’s behavior. Both employees stated their “Manager is in a bad mood and he loves to take it out on everyone.”
I went to the counter to speak with Manager Austin on why he was kicking us out with my wife and kids. Austin stated “I don’t believe you on their ages.” Manager Austin was completely unreasonable and displayed a very uncaring and disrespectful attitude towards us the customer. He continued to refute us, demanding birth information on my children. Calling us liars in front of my kids. We tried to explain to Austin we didn’t break any of their policy or procedures. It was clear Austin was just disgruntled over his job, based on the employees statements and his current actions towards us we weren’t getting anywhere.
Now Manager Nina Williams stepped in having to remove manager Austin stating, “Even though we are within policy for our children’s ages they will be kicking us out because we are upset.” It should be noted that neither my wife or I cussed, raised our voices, or acted in anyway disorderly or disrespectful. We simply were confused on why we’re being called liars, told how to parent our children , and kicked out for now the excuse of being upset. It was clear Nina Williams was backing the actions of her disgruntled manager Austin Ashley! Also it should be noted that employee Adrianna Torres who was also at the desk next to Manager Nina found it funny that my family and I were being forced to leave. Adrianna displayed unprofessional actions smirking, laughing and giggling directly at my family.
This was completely unprofessional behavior from all 3 staff members! Regal Cinema needs to correct this behavior holding all 3 staff members named above accountable for their actions! I hope that employees like Josh and the concession stand employee face zero retaliation from their managers. I appreciated their empathy towards my family and professionalism! I’m extremely disappointed in your management! Do...

Upon arriving (at 6:18), we saw (I think) 2 people (in the entire front area). One person at the bar and 1 or 2 at the concession stand. At first, we thought there was no one to scan my phone for admittance. We stopped and turned around and noticed someone leaning against the wall (she looked 1/2 asleep). She then came over and scanned my phone and off we were to our auditorium.
We found auditorium 8 okay, but the numbers are not very large, with no signs pointing the way through (I think) 2 turns. Further, I don't recall seeing the movie names at the auditorium's entrances. This made it feel like a seriously budget style theater.
We found our seats okay, but immediately noticed that the auditorium wasn't cleaned after the previous show! There was still some trash left from previous viewers... Further, I noticed some of the seats where stained - yuk! And finally, there was a bad odor around where we sat - almost like "BO" or urine. Since there were zero other movie patrons, we switched seats.
The seats themselves are absolutely horrible. It was literally hard to keep from not moving around.. I'm fit; I run and life and have no issues in most seats/chairs. But the seats here make try and fold your body together (legs to chest).
30 minutes folks - 10 minutes of commercials and 20 minutes of previews. After the first 5 minutes of commercials, I Googled how long for commercials and previews and the answer is 30 minutes. I told my wife that I should go down to the bar and have a drink and come back 25 minutes later (LOL!!).
And last but not least - they didn't even dim the lighting for the feature show. So we got to watch the movie in full lighting, like when you first walk into an auditorium before anything starts.
Oh, the sound quality - holy cow! One word, piercing...
One extra star because they do have the option of getting a drink, at least I think that's what that was (a bar) when we walked in...
Read moreThis is coming from a place of a spoiled movie theater goer, so take with a grain of salt if you're completely okay with what I'm reviewing about!
I paid extra to see Infinity War in RPX and was disappointed in the quality of the experience. From overpricing to tighter chairs (and lack of personal space) to what seems to be a 720p to 1080p type of quality on the silver screen.
From the overpricing, having to pay about $14 each for RPX and choosing-your-own-seats with way less wiggle room, and what seems standard quality of the movie was quite jarring for what I was expecting. I am aware that every movie theater will have pricier food, but what I got out of it was smaller yet pricier than what I would have gotten somewhere else. Maybe it's due to marketing influence from the other theater, but it felt... a little too much.
What I'm used to in the chairs are usually spacious, with individual armrests for the chair I'm sitting in and the ones next to me. For having to pay RPX with choosing seats, I expected the same. Nope! I constantly kept bumping (or rubbing at this point) elbows with a stranger; I had to lean too far on the right side into my boyfriend due to the lack of space on my left.
The quality of the movie was subpar. I could go into a standard theater and it would just be the same, maybe with a slightly smaller screen. I say slightly smaller, because the screen didn't look that much bigger nor impressive as I would have expected. The sound quality wasn't as mind blowing either. It didn't feel quite as immersive. I think with all of these, it detracted me from the movie more than I want it to.
I would at least say don't waste your money on RPX. I've been to theaters with roughly the same pricing, along with...
