Walking into The Fade Barbershop after four years of loyalty feels like stepping into a space that is more than just a barbershop. It is a home, a culture, a brotherhood. From the moment I push open the door, I am met with familiar faces, dap ups, and that signature blend of fresh cut fades, aftershave, and deep conversation. Every week, it is the same warm welcome, the same energy that keeps me coming back not just for the cut but for the community.
When I first started coming here, I kept it simple with short cuts and waves crisp enough to turn heads. But with Sal and the crew, I started to experiment, stepping out of my comfort zone and into styles I never thought I would rock. With their skills and guidance, I successfully grew out my hair, pushed through the awkward stages, and eventually locked up. It was a journey that took patience, precision, and trust. Now, every time I sit in that chair, I look in the mirror and see growth, not just in my hair but in my confidence.
Beyond the cuts, beyond the fades and shape ups, this shop has been a constant. It is a place where conversations go deeper than just asking what are we doing today. Whether it is about life, goals, or just cracking jokes that leave everyone in the shop laughing, the energy is always real. Every time I walk out, I feel fresh, sharp, and more like myself than ever.
I do not just leave with a cut. I leave with a boost, a mindset, and a reminder that I am stepping into the world as my best self. That is why I know without a doubt that I have the world’s best barber in Sal and the best shop...

Read morePoor customer service. I went there as a walk-in, seeking a haircut for my 4 year old son. Though they only had one customer at the time they did not acknowledge us when we walked in even though we were visible. We had to walk to the the back where the two barbers were situated (one of them was cutting a customer’s hair and the other was free) and greet them before they turned their attention to us.
The one barber that was free confirmed that they could take us as a walk in and had my son sit down. My son unfortunately got scared by the razor and started protesting against the haircut once the buzzer came on. I kid you not, after 5 seconds of my son protesting the barber just irritatedly took the towel off of my son and dismissed us, saying he had another client coming in. Zero patience. Now, I do understand that customers with bookings are a priority. However, his approach to communicating that with us was rude and impatient. Especially considering that this was a haircut for a 4 year old kid (the customer that came in after was also a kid and the dad said that he was also jittery around razors, so my child’s behavior was not unusual). Very disappointed. We found another barbershop that had the requisite patience and customer service skills just 20 minutes later. I would not...
