Prices posted are not the prices. I ordered a lox and bagel and coffee. Came to $14.88. The menu prices posted in three places said $8.99 for lox and bagel. I asked for how much she charged and she didn't know how to tell me. She didn't know how much the coffee was either.
Besides the above issue, the lox and bagel was very good. The place is very dirty. Floors haven't been mopped, tables not wiped down, counter tops dirty, and over all appearance was dingy. It really looks like they're on their way out. Sad because the area needs a nice mom and pop bagel shop.
I won't be back. It's actually an illegal business practice in Florida to post one price and charge people another. Especially when you can't even tell me what you charged me or give me an itemized receipt.
Response to the owner: Walked around looking for a place to put the trash, but there's no obvious place to it. It was my first time there, but your employee is not very approachable so it doesn't motivate one to talk to her and ask. I was referring to the other tables' filth. The floor was obviously not mopped that morning don't try to defend it. Not getting too specific, but the dirt on your point of sale system was not from that morning either.
Sarcasm wait what, prices have gone up? You completely missed the point of my post. Read it again, no complaints about the prices. This does not excuse the fact that if I ask what the prices are you need to tell me. I asked for the open faced, so tell me there's an up charge, obviously if I'm paying for a sandwich like that, I'm not looking to save a few pennies. I never complained about the price, I asked what the prices were. Other places charge more but that's what I like, so I pay. You need to teach your help how to use the POS. That's on you. Own it. I guess if prices for bagels change that often you can just put "Market Price". Lol. Since you wanted to start with that defensive tone with me, I'll add this, you need to work with your staff and teach them how to say hello, good morning, etc and how to smile. She's chasing away your regulars. The one regular who was there was super happy when he walked in and her attitude seemed to change his mood before he left. In times like these customer service brings me back again and again and makes me drive out of my way to see a smile hand me my food.
Wasn't looking to argue with you about this, but I won't be told I'm missing details. I was being nice by not posting pictures of the dirt or commenting about your staff because I didn't want to cause her trouble. Instead of being defensive, take it as things to...
Read moreI wanted this place to be outstanding, as a former NY'er I miss my bagels for sure. Looked at the reviews here and was excited to try it. I'm just going to lay out the facts here, I may have caught them on a bad day so keep an open mind.
First, the bagels we had were not baked that day. They just weren't fresh bagels. We were there Saturday at 7:30am. #2- if you can't buy a dozen bagels it isn't a bagel shop. #3- coffee was a k-cup #4- no baked goods available #5- the lady working could have been nicer. I tried to talk with her, mentioned it was my first time and that I read some reviews with baked goods and waffles to try and find out if it was just a one time bad day.
Maybe a bad day or maybe this just is what it is. Not throwing stones, just giving facts so people know what they should expect.
I may give it another chance, but my hopes are not high.
Response to the owner - thank you for the response. I know bagels won't be hot 2 hours after baking but these were not fresh bagels. You know your place far better than me but I would just suggest you make sure the staff is baking them everyday. Again, just a suggestion, it's your place. Please know I want you to be successful, I'm not trying to be negative or overly critical. I did not know about the donut shop closing, I did try to engage the lady a bit to see why things were a little off but I think she was having a tough morning (we all do sometimes). Best of luck, I wish you...
Read moreSaw a coupon in the local Coupon Magazine for a buy on get one free NYC Bagel 🥯 sandwich so we figured why not. First parking is good but this strip mall needs to be cleaned more often as trash cans are over flowing and stuff is flying around so ZERO ⭐. Now I cannot hold this against Holey Moley. Entered and warmly greeted. Sandwich selections are written on a Blackboard so reading them is a bit of a challenge. Wanted Lox, Cream cheese, onion but they were sold out of Lox so we settled on Lox and Cream Cheese mix on Sesame Seed and another on Everything Bagel both very good 5 ⭐. Bagels were so good we took home 6 for $7.89 which is a good deal 5 ⭐ Just know that they are busy with hours only from 8:00am till 1:00pm on weekdays and 7:00am till 12:00 noon on Sunday and they do sell out of items which to me is good as everything is fresh. We plan to return ty try the many different sections so suggest...
