Cake Pastel — Restaurant in Janesville

I was extremely disappointed by their tres leche cake. I should have known when they did not have my cake ready when I came in. Then they had the wrong design and did a careless ghetto job. Then I thought oh well at least it will be delicious. Nope, my poor daughter and her birthday guest including myself, were extremely unpleased with the cake. How can a tres leche cake be dry. Not to mention the over load of vanilla or something in the milk. The flavor was not pleasant either. So there goes a wasted 60$ cake... Not one person liked it. Not to mention the terrible job writing my daughter's name on the cake. I have gotten my cakes from the pastales shop in Delevan for years... I will continue to go there because their cakes are delicious. So think twice when purchasing from here......

This is a food store attached to the restaurant...​so I went shopping.As I moved through the aisles, the experience was effortless. The shelves were well-stocked and perfectly organized, making it easy to spot what I needed. I didn't have to hunt or stretch; everything was logically placed. The staff I encountered were just as pleasant—they offered a genuine greeting, and when I had a quick question about where the whole-wheat flour was, they didn't just point, but walked me over with a smile...oh ya,the dining was experience was great and the food is authentic Mexican...

Born and raised in Chicago, when I moved to Wisconsin it was hard to find a store that had my Mexican staples until I found this place. They carry the El Milago tortillas which are the only ones I eat. In addition their store has homemade tamales, quacamola, Chile rellenos, mexican bakery and many other items that I missed so much when moving to this state. I have yet to purchase something that I did not like. They also have a small restaurant in the back which I have not tried but am sure they have great food. I highly recommend...
