Couple months ago I got a sectional and ottoman from this store, my husband and I received a great customer service, we were attended by very kind people, they showed us different options and offered free doorstep delivery and an affordable protection plan. Even though there was a delay with the delivery of the ottoman, the sales people were very nice and attentive and tried their best to make it work for us. After having such a good experience at the store, we picked a dining room set online and decided go again to the store and get it. Unfortunately the nice guy who helped us the last time was busy with other customers, so another salesman offered to help. Although the service was not quite as good as it was the other time, it’s was not too bad. It was supposed to be an easy sale since I already had chosen what I wanted, I only wanted to see some similar stuff so I would make my decisión and order my set through the store. Finally we decided to order the set, so went to checkout. The price was going to be matched to the offered online, so it had to be approved for a guy who I think is the manager or something, I guess the guy was having a bad day or whatever but since we got to the counter he had a very bad attitude. Of course I was hoping to receive same service as the last time, but every thing I asked, the “manager” acted annoyed and answered in a bad way. He wanted to charge us a lot more than we paid before for the protection plan (that they did not even offered btw, I had to ask) and also the delivery, and when we asked him to check what we got the last time, again he gave his very rude face as if we were bothering him or asking for a favor. It was unbelievable, I’m not consider myself a picky person and really tried to be patient, but the service was awful at the point that I decided not to buy my dining set from this Ashley store. And guess what, when I told them I was not getting my stuff there because of their attitude, the guy just said “OK” of course with his annoyed “I don’t care” face. Too bad, I wonder how a business can remain open with this kind of service, there was not a soul in that showroom besides the other customers who were there when we walked in and they did not buy anything. Still they decided to let an easy sale go. Will order my dining set online or at the store in Columbia, won’t go back to that store ever! Read moreWhat a horrible experience! We came in to shop for a sofa. In the store everything seemed fine. The manager, Evan Carmichael, approached us and said he was the only salesman on the floor. No problem. We found a sectional that we liked but we wanted the sofa like we had seen online. The manager said it was available and gave us the price. We talked about dates to deliver. There was a Buy one get a second piece of equal or lesser value going on that he told us about when we came in. We continued to shop and found a console on sale for $249. Awesome. We told Evan and he wrote up the ticket and took it to the front. I paid and never thought to look at his paperwork. When I got home I looked at the ticket and realized he did not discount the console by 50%. He also added $69 for delivery which he did not tell us about. Very sneaky. I really don't mind the shipping but it would be ethical to inform us. I called the store and the checkout girl said Evan could not come to the phone. She said the console was not discounted because it was clearance. I said there was never any indication that it could not be clearance and Evan did not tell us that and I wanted the promotion. She got back on the phone and said that they gave me a discount on the sofa and would not do it. That was not true. The price online on the sofa is the price that was charged. I knew the price of the sofa when I went in. I told her I wanted a refund on it (meaning the console) and I wanted to talk to the manager and she would not let me. She got belligerent on the phone. I asked that Evan call me and he has not. I called the Guest Relations number on the email I received confirming my order and they indicate it is cancelled and they could not talk to me about pricing or how the store conducts business. They would not let me talk to a supervisor about the problem. My order is cancelled. So no sofa. Unbelievable! Read moreMade a purchase for a sectional on 7/7/20, over 3 months later we are still waiting on the sofa part of our purchase. This store really needs to get their act together, each piece came in individually the first piece that came in was the Chaise part of sectional we then had to wait a full month for the armless love seat part. When notified that the last piece came in a full 2 and a half months after original purchase, we picked it up from the store and brought it home only to find out it was the wrong piece and doesn't match up with the other pieces we already have. When we brought it back they told us we are in luck because the part we need is currently in their warehouse in California and ready to ship. Two weeks later I had to call to check on my missing piece, and apparently it's still in California set to be shipped on Oct 11, and could be another 1 and a half weeks before I get the delivery. That's the same amount of time(1-2 weeks) we were told it would take when we originally purchased the sectional at the store in early July. Not once have they reached out or made a call to me about the status of my purchase. Every time I've had to either call them or stop by the store to check on item, only to get the run-around. This was the first time I've purchased from this store and Ashley furniture in general and will definitely be the last. I won't recommend anyone to shop here, due to this horrible experience and customer service. Even we I called corporate about the matter today, I was put on hold with a message about covid causing delays and experiencing a high amount of calls.
