The food was delicious once we got home. We got there at 12:10 pm on Tuesday June 7th 2022. Server was friendly and attentive but we were still waiting on our food at 1:30pm. 6 Tables (3 were our Servers tables) that came in after us were already eating their meals after we finished our appetizer and drinks. One that came in right after us about 5 minutes after us, was finished, paid and left before we even received our meal. They were not very busy at all. We had our appetizer (stuffed mushrooms) and I had 2 drinks and lobster and shrimp soup in a timely manner. The couple that came right in after us had a big TBone steak, we had chicken strips, fries, steak salad and I had parm chicken and broccoli. The server must have been thinking that she might receive a bigger tip from others, that is the only thing I could come up with. When I finally addressed her after noticing how long we were there and how many others had eaten half or all of their meals when they came in much later than us, she did not say anything about not putting our order in in time or any other perfectly understandable excuse. There is no reason in the world that we had to wait so long on our food. I had my 4 daughters with me. I own 4 restaurants with my husband and I have worked in the food service industy for most of my life and have never had an experience like this! I also tip extremely well. I finally asked for all of our food togo because we had appointments and by still not having our meal an hour and 20 minutes after arriving we could not wait any longer. One of my daughters had asked for a manager 2 times (I was unaware) and no one spoke with us. I am very understanding, especially with customer service and the pain of finding and keeping employees during this time. But this really frustrated me. We love Longhorn but customer service issues such as this should definitely be addressed! Our server was very knowledgeable and experienced, just very judgmental! It cost her a good tip and I still probably tipped her more...
Read moreDo NOT eat here, especially if you have any allergies! I came because of their advertised gluten free menu and the very sweet host told me about his girlfriend and family member who are also gluten free. I get sat right away but it takes nearly 10 minutes to be greeted because the server, Heather C, has a large table and takes care of them and another table before even acknowledging me. When she finally comes I explain that I am a celiac and the severity of the disorder and she says she understands. She brings me my wine and salad then I don't see her again. A manager brings my steak order less than 5 minutes after I get my salad so there's no time to finish it and I immediately notice the steak was not fire grilled like I asked; not a big enough issue to complain but the bigger issue I realize after taking one bite is that it's covered in seasoning. I haven't seen my server in at least 20 minutes because she gets sat yet another large table so I catch the attention of the host and ask him to verify that the seasoning is gluten free.
I was a server at Outback for a decade and order fire grilled steak because they only use salt and pepper since their seasoning packs HAVE GLUTEN. The host comes back and says the cooks DON'T KNOW but he shows me the seasoning pack and it lists "spices" and "natural flavoring," both of which are known to contain gluten. I am now upset and ask for my bill so I can leave right away before becoming sick. The server comes out with the bill charging full price for everything despite me not eating it and while I'm signing I say I hope you learn to take allergies more seriously because I'm going to be very ill soon. Rather than an apology, she snaps at me and says it's not her fault, grabs the plates and walks away. Incredibly disrespectful behavior from already terrible service. I don't recommend anyone eating here, especially if you get Heather C...
Read moreFirst... we only came to Longhorn because the wait at other steakhouses was almost an hour and there was literally no wait here. That was clue 1. (It's Friday night, about 7pm.)
It took 10min before a server even came to the table and that's only because we asked another server if they knew who our server was. (Clue#2) Our server took our drink and appetizer order, 15min later our drinks finally show up. At this point we place our main course order. 10min later our appetizer shows up. We ordered seasoned chicken wings..they were oook, nothing fabulous but I'd never order them again.
We wait another 15-20min and not one of the side salad that we ordered with our meals has came yet. Finally our salad came, we ate them and waited.......and waited and waited for another 15min before our main course shows up.
Each of us order a steak. Mine was ordered medium but it was more medium well but still edible. My husband ordered rare and it was rare, he liked it, our friend ordered medium rare and his ended up well done. We tell our server (she actually noticed the steak was incorrect when she walked up to the table) she offered to get another made but after looking at our phones, we have already been in Longhorn for 1 hour 50min!!!! So we opt for it to be taken off the bill so we can just leave.
All in all, not a very good experience. Next time we'll wait the hour on someone else's...
