Sommers Interiors — Local services in Jefferson City

We had a terrible experience spanning 5 years with Sommers. They installed a custom all-tile, walk-in shower for us in 2015. Within months, the tiles started coming up from the floor. We had them come out multiple times about every 6 months to fix the problem, eventually resulting in us being told that the pan that they put down wasn't recommended for small tile. Instead of putting in larger tile, they once again came and repaired (poorly, at that) the penny tile.

The last time they did a repair cost us in excess of $2000 because their suggestion was to brace the floor from underneath, so we had to call in a contractor and replace the ceiling in our living room. 2 months later the tiles started popping up again, and that was December of 2019.

We haven't been able to get them to come back and repair the shower floor since then. They have "put us on the list" for 2 months from the time we call, then when it gets to be January, May, or July, they say "you're on the list" and never call us back. My husband and I have both been professional and kind and emailed and called multiple times. I understand the challenges of a business, but I wouldn't recommend...

After placing an order for tile at an extreme cost per sqft I went to bring back some only to be told it can’t be returned which is exactly the opposite of what I was told when I purchased the material. When I brought that up I was told the person that sold it to me is new and doesn’t know any better which unfortunately shouldn’t be my problem. Just bad business.

Response:100% of this transaction was handled over the phone and I was not verbally informed of this. I only received an invoice after the money was spent and order was placed and if I was told a return could be made why would I need to review the invoice?Again bad business and obviously poor training.

We are doing a complete home remodeling and we were referred to Rosetta and Eddie @Sommers Interiors. We visited the store yesterday and talked with Rosetta. She made our visit so relaxing and easy, just like we were talking with a friend. Rosetta helped us pick out the style and color of blinds that we like and there were alot to choose from. Rosetta and Eddie came to our house today to measure our windows to get things started for us. They are very knowledgeable and polite. Rosetta explained how the process will work and never made me feel dumb.
