Worst festival ever. You have to pay to enter. It’s $15. Once you enter, there is nothing there. Just a tiny fest in a small parking lot. You are basically paying $15 to see a cover band. You could have seen the same cover bands at Rosemont for free. You have to buy tickets to get food. Every other fest, you pay cash. I paid $12 for two potato pancakes. It should be free to enter considering the food is so pricy and you are not giving money directly to the people cooking. You are giving money to the festival and handing them tickets for food.
If you want to go to a good festival, I say go to the Italian fest in Niles. It’s free, large venue, and much better vendors. This place had zero vendors. Just a few old souvenirs at the vendors and some old amber jewelry. They have some carnival games, but no rides. In Niles, there were rides. I went to Niles last night and it was a beautiful large festival. In my opinion, one of the best in Chicago. Taste of Polonia is the worst and so overrated. At least if it were free to enter, but it is not. I felt I was robbed of $ 15. I do hope they can improve the festival and the service because I do know it’s a good opportunity for the Polish community in Chicago to come together. I personally am not Polish, but live in the area and was expecting more.
P.S. Also went to Schaumburg festival tonight and it was also free to enter! They had so much more stuff too! I also recommend the Schaumburg festival.
In response to business- When I went, I saw nothing happening in Copernicus. I have been there before for events. I saw the entire festival. There was nothing to justify spending $15 when so many other festivals in the...
Read moreNo sanitary restrictions whatsoever! The grills are so dirty I think last time they were cleaned in 1410. They grab everything with the same utensils/gloves. They grab pierogies with cheese or cabbage with the same gloves/utensils that they grab sausages and other meats with… that’s not just ignorant to people with dietary restrictions, that is just simply disgusting and unsanitary. And the price 😂 joke… $14 for 5 pieces of pierogies. The only good part about it was the section with Alexandra’s Home Style Blinztes. It was actually tasty and their cooking...
