5-Stars for Light Up Columbus!!! Once again, Chris and his professional team helped elevate our lives to a whole other level with their creative landscape lighting. Seriously, these guys don’t just light things up, they light up your life! What was once a boring backyard that no one wanted to spend any amount of time at once the sun went down, LUC has now transformed into everyone’s favorite place to hang out and enjoy a beverage, or enjoy a night swim or pool party under the bistro lighting, or just enjoy some peace and quiet snuggled up on the sofa with my hubby under the new soft lighting. I think this summer we’ve invited, gathered, and entertained family at the new “Oasis” almost every weekend. We love nothing more than to spend as much time together with family and friends as we can. Afterall, nothing is more important than faith, family & friends. Light Up Columbus has literally brought light and warmth into our lives and in our hearts this summer with their creative landscape lighting. Our family is not only better for it, but we’ve become even closer as a family this summer with Light Up Columbus as our conduit!

To me it’s one thing to read a one-and-done job review, but the reviews I really like to read are the ones recommending a company that can not only perform well once, but a company that can repeatedly produce great results, time and time again. 5 years ago Chris and Light Up Columbus really made the difference for our daughter’s wedding event with their event lighting on a lake front set up that the guests absolutely raved about. Now fast fwd to 2024 and they’ve brought their skills and creative vision to our home to masterfully create a visually stunning landscape of layered lighting that we couldn’t even comprehend without Chris’s unique ability to cast a grand vision for our home. Chris is a true artist, a skilled Picasso of light, and your home is like his canvas. He didn’t break out any paint brushes during his initial visit, but he did break out a drone that he was able to capture aerial photos of our home with in order to present photos on his iPad, and sketch possible lighting plans with his pen on the screen. This was so helpful since we’re just not visual people. Between his lighting equipment demo that helped us understand what kinds of lights they use, for which purposes, and photos showing examples of how the lights look at night in different scenarios, combined with the 360° drone aerial shots to help us visualize examples of where each of those specific lights would go, and the lighting effect those lights would provide based on his vision, I can’t think of a better, more effective way to help someone like us choose and decide what lighting we wanted for our home. And we really appreciated the multiple lighting schemes presented to us in a picture format showing light placements, with variable pricing so that we could choose a plan that would fit our budget. And Chris and his team were gracious and understanding when it came to us choosing. In fact, we were hung up on which type of lighting to install around our fence perimeter, so Chris sent Frank a crew chief out to our home to set up and install the two different types of light so that we could see with our own eyes what the difference was. And let me tell you, the difference was made obviously clear once he lit them up at night. Of course, the lights we chose for that were the more expensive ones, but I’d pay it 10x over again to get the results we ended up with. And as you’ll see in the light fixture demo (highly recommend being engaged in), you get what you pay for, which is a great value and long term investment worth every penny. Did I mention Light Up Columbus changed our lives?! The install process went well, and the team worked very hard on some long, hot days in the 90s. They were reliable, and timely based on set expectations.

WOW! Talk about a transformation in ‘home comfidence!’ It’s been a little over a month sign i’ve had my outdoor lighting landscape completed by Light Up Columbus and I couldn’t be happier! Our sweet lil abode put on its Cinderella dress and has never taken it off since we have added landscape lighting by Light Up Columbus! Brian and I are grateful in how professionally installed lighting design with quality materials by outstanding team members impacts our living every day.

It was a pleasure to work with owner Chris who was given full autonomy in designing what I needed for the type of use I have in my backyard. There was immediate trust in that process. Because I live in an older neighborhood with homes close together I wanted to be respectful of those around me by not having too much light, but also having my tree architecture highlighted in my backyard Chris assured me that when his work team came out they would assess the brightness needed and could always add more lights after I have some time living with my lighting landscape..

Tommy was the team lead who came to instal. He was so respectful and kind, answering any questions, and cleaned everything as they finish the project. I so appreciated the level of professionalism and communication by Tom and Chris. Even though this was my first project. The team, I will have them come back to add another in-ground light or two And will consider my holiday lighting now.

WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND LIGHT UP COLUMBUS!!!! We had the fortunate pleasure of working with Chris and Light Up Columbus for our daughter’s outdoor wedding held at lake Choctaw in London, Ohio on June 1, 2019. As an owner/operator of a roofing business, I was very impressed with Chris’s overall professionalism, friendliness, and highly assertive communication with us throughout the entire process. From brainstorming creative lighting set-ups at the venue, to scheduling the install, and all the way through to the tear down and clean up, Chris was totally hands on, or at least a phone call or text away. Very responsive. One thing we were truly able to appreciate was that no matter what ideas we threw at Chris, the answer was never a “no”. He was willing to explore ways, or any means necessary, to make things possible. I think he understood very well that these weren’t just a bunch of insignificant ideas, but that they were our daughter’s dreams he was being asked to bring to life (no pressure, lol). Aside from our own wedding and birthing 3 children, this was certainly one of the most significant milestones in our lives to date, and Chris was somehow, someway, able to help us flesh out what started out as a bunch of ideas and visions.
