Have to admit, this place knows what they're doing. I developed an excruciating sciatic issue which on a pain level of 1-10 was a solid 10. Couldn't sleep or walk in the house for days. Sought chiropractic treatment from a local pain center and their solution was to give me three consecutive days of treatment ranging from spine manipulation to "laser" therapy. To make a long story short, although I personally liked the doctor at this pain center, his associates approach to my recovery was simply flawed. So, based on a recommendation a high tailed it over to Garden State Pain Control's JC location. Much more comfortable seating and their approach was spot on. They asked all the right questions, took x/rays (which never happened at competitor's facility) and viewed them with me on the spot. We saw exactly where the disc herniation was and we determined the need for an MRI at a later date. I was given a back brace the same day which provided some immediate comfort and The overall experience was positive. I HIGHLY recommend going here for any pain related issues vs a chiropractic approach. People in pain want relief and pain management practices must have the proper equipment to provide this. Anything less is simply...
Read moreI just had my first appointment for a disc herniation (L5-S1). I've been in excruciating pain for over a week, and losing hope. My mood was shot. The first thing I noticed is how pleasant everyone there was. From support staff to the doctor. I met with Dr. Levy, who was very patient, kind and compassionate towards me. I felt like she recognized the level of pain I was in, which was a breath of fresh air compared to how I felt getting treated at an urgent care clinic that I went to before.
Dr. Levy recognized my misery, and expedited insurance approval for epidural shots which I'll be receiving tomorrow. She also was very positive, and most importantly gave me hope. When I came home, I was still in the same level of pain but I came home a completely different person. The dark cloud was lifted, and I felt optimistic about shaking off this crippling pain. Handling this pain is so much easier with a good attitude, and I can thank Dr. Levy and her support staff for instilling that attitude in me. I'm looking forward to tomorrow, when my treatment will...
Read moreThey discriminate about who and what treatment they want to prescribe. They will waste your time just to tell you all well prescribe tou regular tylenol that I could have gotten over the counter. I've had pain for 2 years excruciating pain! I went in for help finally and the first thing the doctor says is we dont prescribe percocet as if that's the reason I went in that day. When i really wanted a muscle relaxer. I've felt uncomfortable since but they judge you from the moment you walk in especially if your black they think your automatically there for drugs and were not. We are human and have pain aswell as anyone else. Bad enough I have to travel for decent medical care but then to get there and not be treated as an individual with an injury but a crackhead is really uncomfortable. The doctor said he was going to piss test my husband the first day he came in . Which isnt a problem but that us racist as hell for real my first appointment I didnt get asked to urinate in a cup. They need to treat everyone like individuals and not according...
