Read moreThe food here is fantastic! I ordered the jerk chicken with sides of fried okra and Mac and cheese. I had the Sea Moss drink. The chicken was perfectly spicy and tender with a little kick and some delicious, interesting flavors. The chicken came with with plantains (yum!) and a fresh and tasty salad. The fried okra was really good and brought me back to my time in Tennessee, but with a twist. The Sea Moss was sweet and thick with some unique spices (maybe cardamom?)
Karen, who runs the business described this as âyour auntieâs foodâ and gave me a hug when I met her to pick up the food. She was so nice. Itâs clear she puts her heart into her new business, cooking authentic food that she really knows with love and care. The whole experience left me with good vibes and a full, happy stomach. She runs the whole show and cooks the food to order, so be sure to order ahead of time (an hour or so).
If youâre hungry do yourself a favor, order some food from CarribeanFusion2Go and support local business....
Read moreWe are new to the area and have started to explore local offerings for food. We sampled the chicken roti, shrimp fried rice, and the fried okra.
The food was simply outstanding: the okra was fried perfectly, maintaining a snappy texture. The chicken roti was hearty, rich and wrapped in a delicate, nutty, fluffy roti; it evokes memories of Trinidad and more locally Flatbush. And then the GT fried rice that had a balanced umami and expertly-handled pepper that kept you going back spoon after spoon.
We were extremely satisfied with our meal, so much so that we asked K and her staff to cater for a large party we had the following weekend. In addition to the dishes we had already tried, we added jerk chicken all of which our guests happily enjoyed.
We are blessed to have this local eatery in our neighborhood. This is deeply satisfying food that tastes like home and is prepared by an expert hand. We...
