I felt compelled to come online to write this review after working with another photographer. Joanna assisted us with newborn photography for our first child. Our second child arrived after we left Houston. Initially, we were sad that we couldn't work with Joanna again. After working with another photographer, we are VERY sad that we couldn't work with Joanna again.

Quite simply, Joanna's amazing in every respect. Her work is exquisite and - here's the important part - she's a consummate professional and a joy to work with. She's wonderfully hospitable, she's respectful of her clients, and she's devoted to producing world-class photos. We knew that we were fans of Joanna (and would eagerly recommend her to anyone), but we didn't fully appreciate just how wonderful she was until we worked with someone else - the other photographer (not Joanna) was openly dismissive of our input, incredibly pushy on upselling, and generally made for a photo session that was tense and stressful. That's just not something one should have to deal with during the post-partum period, which is stressful enough to begin with. It was the opposite of our experience with Joanna, which was an absolute pleasure.

Joanna Lowden Booth is a phenomenal photographer! She pours her heart and soul into every photo that she takes. She will not end the photo shoot until everything is done perfectly. She will not rest until the ideal image is created. She has captured maternity pictures for my family as well as newborn photographs. As of late she photographed my now 1 year old daughter and myself and did an amazing job! She created a Madrid like theme for our shoot and then we had a session that was couture and was reminiscent of Manhattan in the 30’s, yet the look was timeless. There is no end to her depth and she has such a creative eye! She was so welcoming and warm with our baby girl. We have used her services last year in the fall, during Christmas time last year and just a few days ago. Her studio, backdrops, props and the color palettes that she uses are unbelievable! Joanna’s skills are a hidden gem!! Don’t miss your opportunity to book a session with her. You will leave asking yourself, why didn’t I do this sooner? My family and I travelled for hours to get a chance to work with Joanna!! I cannot wait for my opportunity to return for more pictures...

Joanna is simply the best. We just finished our 5th photo shoot with Joanna -- she has captured maternity and newborn photographs for both of my daughters (2015 and 2018) and a Christmas VIP mini-session. Each time I am blown away by the final results! Joanna takes the time to listen to your requests and prepare for you before you arrive. She pays incredible attention to the details -- you'll see this as she makes sure every single finger on your newborn's hand is placed just perfect for the shot. Not only are her final products great, but she makes sure you enjoy the entire experience. She creates a very relaxed environment for the newborn shoots and makes sure new moms feel at ease.
