I have a 2015 GMC Sierra LD truck that had an infotainment unit that ALWAYS scrambled. Took it to 3 different dealers in California to fix--none could fix it. Jim Ellis in Buford fixed it by downloading the entire program again, but it didn't last. As soon as the weather changed, the screen scrambled again. I wasn't going to install another POS that GM made for that truck. Instead, I used AI to help me shop for an aftermarket replacement. ChatGPT also helped me find someone with good ratings to help me install it--something that Google can't do itself, compare reviews for specific installments. After walking into SK Customs, I brought all the homework I had done with me. Turns out ChatGPT was suggesting a component that takes 2 parts. In my mind, if one parts stops operating, how would I know which part to fix? So, G, at SK Customs, priced out all what ChatGPT suggested, and a Linkswell Infotainment Unit. I remembered the Linkswell unit being shown in the GMC Truck enthusiast page. It was made to replace GM's crappy infotainment unit. I made that my choice. That was mid-June of 2025. I was thrilled to surprise my husband with it! It's now August, iOS has had a few updates. I tried to use ChatGPT for instructions to reconnect my husband's phone. After many hours, I realized I was going in circles. My husband accompanied me back to SK Customs for help. SK Customs Car and Audio did an outstanding job installing new stereo equipment in 2 of my vehicles. They explained the various options regarding quality, value and performance. After enjoying the new sound in our vehicles for about 6 months, I had an issue with one of them. I went to their shop without an appointment and explained the problem. They brought it into the shop, resolved the issue and explained what happened; they also notice another issue non related to installation and fixed it.
