Target — Local services in Johns Creek

This morning, I had to do multiple returns. The lady at the register, I think her name is Maryuri, clearly had an issue from the beginning. I decided after a couple returns to walk around the store to give her time to adjust her attitude. It didn’t work. I came back to customer service to continue my returns with another agent. Maryuri accused me of not having those items when I first came in the store (which I clearly did as they were in Kroger bags) then proceeded to talk the person I was working with in their native language but she did say “returns” in English. The person working with me, then started to question me about my returns.

Interestingly, during this time Maryuri had an Indian female customer with many returns who received less attitude and better treatment although some of the items she tried to return aren’t even sold at Target.

I left with some of my returns as to not lose my cool. It’s unfortunate that I was the only one in this situation who chose the proper decorum. Based on this experience alone, I would rate this store zero stars. However, I contacted a manager (Mike G) to discuss this issue (to ensure this does not happen with other young African Americans) and he was apologetic and professional so I decided to...

My son and I would like to give a shout out to Jurnan. He was working hard stocking at an aisle today when God answered our prayers by delivering someone that actually went out of their way to help us find what we were looking for! We had already gone to TWO other Target in our area and none of them had the Texas Instrument 30XS calculator. It was ALL sold out until we looked up this location and it had ONE left in stock. Wish we had known earlier that we needed this calculator. Would have had it ready before school started. We bought the last one, thanks to Jurnan. There was none left on the shelf. Jurnan checked three other locations and was able to locate it at another aisle. Thank you so much for helping us out today, Jurnan and going out of your way to make sure that you checked all the possibility of this item instead of just brushing us off and saying, "oh I don't think we have any left" like the other employees did from the other locations. On Monday 10/25 my in-laws went on there weekly shopping trip to the Target in John's Creek on Peachtree Pkwy. My father inlaw had a stroke and fell to the floor and was incapacitated while my mother in-law was terrified and overwhelmed by the circumstances. The Target team responded quickly to assist and made sure to make him as comfortable as possible and comforted her until the ambulance arrived. One young man even brought pillows over for his head to get it off the floor. I cannot express how much you touched our family by jumping in and and doing what we could not, due to being at work. You have shown such compassion to an elderly couple and that shows us there are still caring wonderful people in the world that still love there neighbors as themselves.
