I don’t enjoy giving negative reviews and perhaps I am being a bit harsh, however, my experience here today was quite disappointing.
I’ll start off with the good because I think you all deserve to know the good. The food comes quick and it’s typical, satisfying bar food. No complaints there. The drinks come quick, there is a large selection of alcohol that you may not find at other establishments.
Onto the negative, I felt genuinely unwelcome at the establishment. Now, I’m not here to try and convert anyone or make someone love a sport that I love, how could I? People love what they love and have their own opinions about what they don’t, but just cause you have an opinion, doesn’t mean you need to say it outloud. Both patrons and staff displayed a general dissatisfaction with me requesting to watch a World Cup match.
I get it not everyone loves soccer (Football as it should be properly named.) and I understand that but to blatantly disrespect the sport that not only me but more than half the ENTIRE WORLD watches. To disrespect the biggest tournament in the World that happens once every 4 years. To disrespect the countries involved by showing blatant ignorance is just in poor taste beyond general banter, and it makes patrons who are there for that sport uncomfortable.
I had to leave at halftime because I’d rather go home and finish watching it then being around such an anti-soccer environment.
I am not here to shame Taco Mac, as I’m sure they have better decorum towards other sports both patrons and staff but I’ll say this to anyone considering this establishment for Soccer games.
Think again! It’s not a soccer-friendly bar. I can name plenty off the top of my head that will have greater respect and attitude towards patrons that want to watch World Cup or any soccer match to be honest.
For example, Wild Wing Cafe, Fado’s Irish Pub, Brass Tap, Brewhouse Cafe, I could go on.
Do yourself a favor and go to an establishment that shows greater care for the sport that I know more people in...
Read moreIt’s always a pleasant experience when you walk in to pick up an online order and there’s no host at the door. Which is fine, but you make eye contact with a group of servers in the kitchen double doors talking and they ignore yall on a dead night. Do not be mistaken by this and do not grab ur pre paid* food (That sits alone at the front) because they will chase you out the door like you’re the criminal (not quite sure how policy that is, to follow someone to the parking lot). It’s quite funny though, pretty sure they only did that because we grabbed the bag otherwise would have kept ignoring us. They said it’s because they’ve had people just come in and steal orders. But then they’ll ignore people at the front and leave orders there alone. What do you expect? If you don’t want that to happen , maybe staff the door, or not leave it alone up there. This wouldn’t even be a one off occasion I watched a lady do it like two weeks ago after failing to get the attention of anyone to help her. Seems like a self fulfilling prophecy.
What are you tipping for in this scenario?

Read moreI was with a group of friends. When ordering food for dine-in, I ordered something else to go. I told the waitress that my separate order was to go and would be a separate ticket. I also asked the waitress to put in the order later so that the food would not get cold. She said no problem. When the food came out, my to go order came out too on a plate. I told the waitress that this one was supposed to be to go and on a separate ticket. She was sorry that she made a mistake. She took the plate back and came back with the food in a to go box. The food got cold and the bag had so much of some kind of sauce on the outside, so we had to wipe the bag.
When paying, the to go order came out in a single check with other dine-in order. I told the waitress again (3rd time) that the to go order would be separate. She said sorry again. When correct checks came back finally, I did not tip the waitress for the to go order, but tipped her on the dine-in check. When the transactions got posted on my credit card, I was charged $6 additional. She faked...
