After getting of work late (retail sales), I picked up my son to get his mom birthday gifts for the next day. Arrived at Kohls at 8:30 knowing they closed at 9. Browsed through, and got several items. Not once was I asked if I needed any help finding anything. I really didnât need help just looking for some last minute gifts. Heard over the intercom at 8:45 the store will be closing in 15 minutes, please bring final selections to the register. We were almost done. A few minutes later my son went to the restroom. A silky soft comfy looking jogging suit was up front fairly close to registers so I decided to get one. While looking for right size an employee walked up to me and said âsir we are closing in 5 minutes, youâre out of timeâ. I found the size i needed right then, and said Iâm well aware of what time you close. I googled it before coming here, and heard the announcement on the intercom, thanks. So I go to check out and literally I was blocked by 2 of the 6 associates hanging out at the same register waiting on closing time. After ringing up $185 worth of stuff she said âwould you like to apply for a Kohls card? Youâll save over $30â. I thanked her and said we donât have time for that, Iâve got to get out of here. I was told to leave. This really rubbed me wrong. The fact that I stayed over at my job, and do frequently probably made it bother me more than I shouldâve let it. I let people know when we close, but if they are there before that time we close when youâre done. Iâve never ever been approached by someone in a retail environment telling me we close in 5 minutes youâre out of time. Rude as hell! I was out of the store before 9, and had every intention to be before I was pretty much escorted out. Next time Iâll just shop earlier, and order off Amazon. Attitudes like I dealt with this evening is for sure not going to help the declining strip mall retail stores. Ok I...
Read moreAll I know is people lead by example and employees follow suit. Therefore sadly enough to say there is zero customer service. Angie and Leslie are two of the managers there who definitely solidify my review. At Christmas I bought items online and went to pick them up at the storeâŚguess whatâŚthey werenât in my binâŚsomeone stole them. Customer service was absolutely pathetic at best. I went myself to find my itemsâŚmany I couldnât find. Well, Lah Scalf did email me and our conversation was ultimately pointless. She sent me $20 in Kohks cash that didnât even work. Then she never responded when I asked about it. After that my mother had an issueâŚAngie Biroth another supervisor contacted my mother but then played stupid asking all these additional asinine questions like my mother didnât know what she was talking about. So I give it one more shot to pick my order up at the store. Well, my order wasnât in my bin and I had another persons order in mine.I had no idea how hard it was to apparently read numbers. The young lady had no idea what she was doingâŚall she had to do was go look on the bag to see my initials but, she has to apparently be seen by coworkers as trying to help but utterly clueless. Another employee walked over to the bin, looked at the initials and finally gave me my bag. Angie and Leah were of course non existent. Hello Kohks Johnson CityâŚ.your reviews are terrible and you wonder why????? How about sone competent managers and associates???? Your reviews might just...
Read moreIt's awesome that you can return items for Amazon with ZERO hassle; just love it!
I went with my wife and this is mostly her opinion regarding the bathroom & kitchen decor, rugs & towels. She thought the prices were expensive even with the 50% & 35% off deals listed throughout the aisles. She felt those signs were intentionally misleading to make customers feel they were getting a good deal when in fact they are not. One example was a bathroom rug regular price around $50 with sale price of $25. She listed a couple of stores that have similar or better quality rugs for $20 or less, even some with better known names.
I was shocked at the prices of their pots & pans but she did say they were very good quality even if you could get them elsewhere a little bit to a lot cheaper. The other item I noticed, the dog toys, I know for certain you can get tougher and cheaper at Petsmart.
So sorry Kohl's but bottom line is you're too expensive with shady prices for my liking. Thank you for the ease of...
