So let me say I am still pretty upset right now. We ordered a new refrigerator beginning of February and it was 2 weeks out for delivery; not great but that is fine. On the day of delivery we get a little snow: I mean the grass was somewhat covered but the roads and sidewalks were just wet. I get the call from Best Buy, an hour before we were expecting them, that due to the weather they had to postpone our delivery. When they give me a date it isn’t the next day, or the day after, it is 2 weeks into the future. Nothing else was delayed this day: trash was picked up, FedEx delivered, mail delivered, etc. Only the subcontractor used by Best Buy felt there was reason to cancel. What is the most frustrating is that rather than be delayed 1 day, or 2 days (at the worst), it is as if we just bought our refrigerator. I expressed my frustration and I was told that there was nothing they could do: I was 2 weeks out. I asked about compensation and I was told that I have to receive delivery (now 1 month after purchase) before they could offer me any sort of compensation. Hands down, worst customer experience I have ever had. Completely unacceptable. As a customer, I feel completely devalued and I will not look at Best Buy for my next purchase. I argued to the person who called that they should just push everyone back a day and begin new deliveries when they were caught up; the answer was either I took the spot 2 weeks out, or I would be delayed further. Again, completely unacceptable. To have my delivery for an item paid for one month out is ridiculous. Update after dialogue with “Best” Buy: You had better hope your delivery is not deemed unable to be done, because the company policy is that if your appointment is rescheduled you go back into the scheduling process for next available appointment. Meaning, if the delivery company cancels your delivery for reasons outside of your control, you are FORCED to take the next appointment down the road (for us that was two weeks out).

I love best buy but the website/app is not accurate with in store stock. I wanted an oled tv and had just got back $1000 from my previous Led TV using my Geek squad protection plan. See 3 oled tvs in my price range with what I'm willing to spend plus my credit to bestbuy. Get to the store and none of the TVs i wanted are in stock just smaller/bigger than i wanted, nor are the 3 open box tvs the app and website showed i could by and pick up at store in 1 hour. So walked around and a diamond in the rough is found 65 inch LG C3 oled evo with open box $1030 on display (guessing since C4 is out) after informing them I wanted the TV young man was very helpful but person running the show wanted me to come back or another day for them to get it down. Too my surprise bestbuy apparently throws the display tvs factory stand and remote in the trash upon hanging the TV up (Wonder how they turn the ones up high on? This one took a lift to reach. I looked up if my lg magic remote will work and google knowledge says yes..... apparently it doesn't and the remote is $100 so now I have a big beautiful TV I have to buy a stand/wallmount for Plus a remote if I want full function instead of a universal remote. Sorry for the rant just couldn't believe Best buy would trash a remote & stand to a display model just cause leaving whoever buys that one thinking they got a steal till they get home and realized I could of bought a new one for what I'll spend on a stand and remote added to what I spent on what I have and can't use yet.

I went back hoping for a better experience. Still nobody willing to help. Asked three employees for assistance. All of them blew me off. I then sent my daughter to ask for help again with no luck. The shelves are empty of products. I guess I'm stuck with online shopping. Multiple employees standing around looking busy but doing no work. I walked into 5 employees standing at the entrance. I was kindly asked if I need assistance. I told them I want to purchase a TV and I already know which model. I was informed that I would be put on a waiting list to speak with a specialist and it would be 10 to 15 minutes. No problem, but I just need this model and no assistance except the location of the product. Again it will be 10 to 15 minutes. I asked if one of the 5 people standing around could simply show me where it was and I will get it. Not going to happen, they were tasked out to standing around. I then went on the search with no luck. While looking i found three more employees searching for their assigned customer with no luck finding them or helping others. It looked to me like best buy is trying to copy other popular stores methods 🍎. The big issue i see is that nobody likes the way 🍎 services customers and simply deal with it because it's the only place to get an 🍎. This is not the case for a TV. So I went to Walmart and bought what I needed. So disappointing, I wouldn't be surprised if best buy joined the other bankrupt stores come January.

Downrated from 4 to 1 star on Dec 16, 2020. Went inside at 6:30 and was advised that I could do my in-store pick up by waiting in a long line at customer service. I decided to walk around the store first and came back a few minutes later when it was shorter. After waiting about 10 minutes in line, I was told that I could only pick up my two "in-store" orders by doing curbside pick up.

The app and website both gave me the options to pick up in store through 7 PM or do curbside through 9 PM. I was at the front of the line at 6:45 PM when I was told that after being in the store for 15 minutes with a mask on that I would have to exit the store, move my car to a busy area, pull up my orders, and wait for an employee to bring two items to my car. I did as instructed after advising the worker that I was already inside, potentially exposed to workers and customers, and was sure that my orders were 10 ft away from her.

I then waited in my car with it running for about 15 more minutes before another employee finally brought my orders out and had a hard time getting them checked out on his mobile device. I told him that I had been in the store 15 minutes earlier and was told that I would have to go outside and wait for my order. He was baffled by the other worker's incorrect information and apologized. I apologized that he had to make an unneeded trip to my car with the items.

I understand that it's a covid Christmas rush, but I was unimpressed with how some of the workers were treating customers in the (lack of) customer service line. The Johnson City store has always had the worst customer service of the three Tri-cities Best Buys. Since the Bristol, VA and Kingsport stores closed, service quality has really dropped. Workers were swarming you in the less-busy Bristol, VA store where you would be asked if you needed any help 3 times before walking from the front to the back of the store. Kingsport had many of the same staff members for years and were almost all very friendly and helpful when you had questions. I've walked around the Johnson City store- obviously interested in a particular section or product for over 30 minutes without a single employee in sight or making rounds checking to see if they could help. The new Bristol, TN store was supposed to retain the Bristol, VA employees and a few of the Kingsport employees, but only a few recognizable faces are still there. I've had mixed experiences shopping there during covid times.

I will be shopping at the newer Bristol location from now on or avoiding Best Buy whenever possible due to this most recent JC experience and the stores' history. I would not be surprised if they closed one or both stores in the near future.

I hope my rambling review and information has...

I went to this store today because I had just gotten off work and it was much closer to swing by and get what I needed. The first lady I came in contact with was super nice, she immediately helped me with what I needed. I brought up price matching from Walmart and she immediately went over what I needed to have and looked at the screen I was on. I pulled up the Walmart app and showed her exactly what I wanted and agreed that I could have my item matched. We went up to the register and she immediately told me she was new and needed to ask someone how to complete this process.

The 2nd lady that I met, was the rudest person I have met. She was so MEAN to the first lady I was dealing with. The only thing she was trying to do was learn something new since she was also new to the job. The 2nd lady also told her that she couldn't trust anything that I was saying and that she had to pull up walmart herself and look up the item I was wanting (this is understanding if I had a screenshot, but I had the app pulld up and ready to show her.) She then proceeded to be super rude to the first lady I was working with. It seemed to me like she was belittling her because she was asking for help. The first lady left her phone in her locker and the other woman was very upset because she left her phone there. I honestly think that its good she left her phone in her locker and she isn't on her phone on the sales floor. The 2nd lady kept saying that the item wasn't on wal-mart and she couldn't do the price match because it was showing it had to be shipped from wal-mart but on my screen it was showing in stock and ready to be picked up. This lady finally walked away and left her phone with the first one and I saw that she was looking at the wrong item all along and it was finally solved, after I saw what was happening.

Moral of the story, I will not be giving any more services to best buy in JC due to the customer service I had. I also would like to suggest to teach your employees on how to be nicer to the new employees coming on to your team because those new employees will not last long with the bullying. I should have left and not gotten what I was there to get and went somewhere else, but it was convenient for me and I wanted to give the sell to the first lady. I wished I had gotten names of...

I called the Best Buy number that was listed as the Johnson City store. I finally get through to talk to an actual person and it turns out that it was just a call center's number. I ask if the J.C. store has the Iphone XR battery in stock that I need a battery replaced. I was told that they unfortunately do not have access to that information at the Best Buy call center and I would have to travel to the store. I say fine I will travel the 20 minutes to the store to find out. I get to the store and I am told there is nobody there for the Geek Squad that can change out the battery that day and that I would have to make an appointment for the following day. I say fine, I will make an appointment and do so right there on the spot. I ask the person that I made the appointment through to make sure they have the part in stock so I don't drive all the way back up there the following day for my appointment, only to find out the part is not in stock. I was assured, after the person went and checked, that the part was in stock. Today I drive the 20 minutes back up to the store and told them I was there for my appointment to have my battery replaced. The person checks and says they do not have the part in stock and it will have to be ordered and that I can leave my phone there and they could order the battery, and when it comes in, they can replace the battery. I explained that the previous day I had came up there and was told the battery was in stock and I MADE AN APPOINTMENT TO HAVE THE BATTERY REPLACED!!! Let me say that again... I MADE AN APPOINTMENT!!! It was further explained to me that someone probably came in earlier that day for a battery swap and they are not allowed to hold that item for anyone. I stress again, I MADE AN APPOINTMENT!!! in two days, I have driven 1 hour and 20 minutes, to and from the store, to be treated that way and I still have a bad battery. My phone works but will not stay charged for long. I did not want to leave my phone there for X amount of days while they ordered the battery, waited for it to come in and then installed it. Terrible way of doing business. I was actually looking to replace my washer and dryer after the first of the year, but I am thinking I will take my...
