Dr. Acosta was professional, compassionate, and direct from the start. He walked me through my options and gave me full confidence in the recovery process. I’m 40 years old, and while my wrist still isn’t 100 percent, I’ve regained impressive mobility and range of motion. I’ve even returned to skating again something I wasn’t sure would be possible.

I know the frustrations of going to doctor's offices, with the pandemic and especially with a very urgent medical concern but Dr. Acosta and Staff remember you and are more then just advocates, they will take you by the hand and lead the way. I visited an Urgent Care, 2 Hospital Emergency Rooms and Doctor's offices in 3 days before St. Mary's Hospital, who was the 2nd emergency room that night, leap into action, spoke with Dr. Acosta, admitted me and prepped me for surgery. To the other institutions, it was not an emergency, but Dr. Acosta saved two of my fingers if not my whole hand early that morning. The Staff there including Florida Hand Therapy (in the same office) and Dr. Acosta goes above and beyond just medical attention, they treat you as a person and meet your needs. I knew about his reputation for being behind schedule. Because I am less than five minutes away, I was told to call before my appointment to see how he is running. I called 15 minutes before my appointment and was told he was on schedule. I showed up 3 minutes before my appointment and there were 4 people in the waiting room. I was told to wait in the lobby because the waiting room was too crowded. There were three others in the lobby. The receptionist had the gall to tell me that when I called, he was on schedule. A complete lack of respect for the patient. Follow up: their response is nonsense. I called 5 minutes before showing up and they said he was on schedule. When I showed up they could not tell me how long the wait was and didn't deny that it could be an hour. You can just read the other reviews to realize it is a problem with his office.
