Extreme Audio — Local services in Kansas City

I would advise anyone not to buy anything from this place bought a set of 15 inch speakers with a sealed box 3 days later the box come on done took it back he told me he never charge me for the box so he could not give me a new one well on my receipt it says $85.88 for the box after that about two weeks later both speakers blow it is not over 30 days he was supposed to return them and give me a new set of speakers and told me to go through the manufacture this guy is a crook hey does not warranty anything says that he have signs up in his store that there is no return policy for subs if they blow make a long story short he tried telling me he didn't have another site to give me anyway when I went in the store he had over four different sets of the same kind of sub Wolfers I bought he is a crook and you got to watch the speaker boxes you bye because he will sell you a box that was used I bought a brand new box once he claimed my box that I just bought with the subs was not warranty and it had screw holes in it I did not notice till I got home to put the subs in the Newport box I would not recommend this place at all he is a crook he wants to over talk to you wear with his different language that you could not even understand just don't want nobody to have experience like iPad got ripped off and when I called the manufacture he does not even have a license to sell them he is ordering them off eBay and then selling them for double the price I feel like an idiot I give $380 for a set of 15's with the box looked on eBay I could've got the subs brand new for $50 a piece they are two on double voice coil 15 subwoofers...

I want to thank Frank and the Extreme Audio team. They were great to work with. They knew their products and were able to advise on fitment and install issues with my car (a Mazda Miata) to help me select a new stereo and speakers. They got me scheduled and had the new equipment installed the next business day. I was thrilled – the new stereo and speakers sounded fantastic!!

Unfortunately, that was short lived – but not because Extreme did anything wrong! As soon as I started driving home – with my top down, enjoying the new stereo and speakers – I realized that with the top down, the screen on the new stereo was hard or impossible to see depending on the angle of the sun. It was so disappointing! I had this amazing new stereo – with a fantastic interface and features – and I couldn’t see it!

Frank was great. We talked thru the issues, and he helped me explore other options. He did not pressure to do one thing or another but simply helped me understand and think through other considerations. He offered great advice and got the unit swapped out the next day.

While I didn’t end up with wireless Car Play, I did end up having a great experience at Extreme Audi. And, I have a fantastic new stereo and speakers to show for it.

Would I go back to Extreme Audio? Absolutely!

Would I recommend Frank and Extreme Audio to other? Without a...

So I brought my pathfinder in to Frank for a sub and amp to go with my existing stereo system. What I was originally going to purchase Frank told me was over kill and would actually be too much for the current stereo system. He recommend about half of what I was organizing going to purchase. Frank was also curious and very helpful, he got me right in on a Saturday as where the other shops only had apartments out about a week or so and only on weekdays. Frank gave me a year warranty as well. I read the negative comments prior to going to Extreme Audio and taking a chance on Frank as I felt comfortable with his knowledge, and I am very happy I did! Frank took great care of me and did an absolutely amazing job on my system installation! No problem at all. Even did a couple extra things I asked with no hesitation. The prices were as I priced on line for the equipment as well. I will be going back to Frank's shop anytime I need anything in the future and will be recommending Extream Audio...
