I was out of town visiting friends in KC and looking to buy a pair of boots. My friends recommended Nigros. And for the next hour, I was delighted at the store, products, selection, employees and I had the distinct honor to meet George and his wife. Now I know his wife runs the house rightfully so but today is about George.

Had a great experience there…until I had to return something. I had bought 2 pair of jeans, and paid for part of my purchase on a gift card. Well, I had to return 1 pair. I asked for the refund to be put back on my bank card, since my difference owed back was still more than my gift card I used. It went back on the gift card instead! I said that I wanted it back on my bank card and told the lady operating the register as such. The owner was like, “Don’t get smart with her!” The guy yelled at me! I merely asked for my money back, and didn’t act confrontational in any way. Eventually, they gave me some of the money back in cash, and some back on my card. Then they claimed they were losing money since they gave me over $70 back on a $65 item….I guess they forgot I get refunded sales tax back on an item I paid for. I spoke with both David Sr. and David Jr. during my purchase, that’s two generations of folks who understand the importance of knowing their product and providing the best possible experience to their customers.
