When I first moved here, in 2020, i was content. I wasn't extatic.....but i was content.
These apartments are REALLY EXPENSIVE!
Over the last 3 years, the rent has steadily increased. If you rent, you know that's pretty normal....
The issue is:
While the rent steadily increases......the AMENITIES CONTINUALLY DECREASE.
This has resulted in a very poor value.
Examples: The pool has been closed for at least a month, every summer....not such a huge issue, EXCEPT THERE IS NO PLAYGROUND, BASKETBALL COURT, PICKLEBALL COURT, OR ANY OTHER ALTERNATIVE TO SWIMMING.
New rule.....no children are allowed in the gym.
New rule....if the compactor is full and you leave your garbage by it, they fine you $30
New rule.....you are not allowed to decide what kind of chair to put on your stoop. No bicycles. No rugs. No plants. No garbage can. No smoking. No windshield. No sunshade. Just NO.....or you get fined.
New rule....management can send mass emails in which they speak to residents with utter disdane, disrespect, and unprofessional ism.
New rule....the pool is closed every Monday, for maintenance, which takes 1 hour.
New rule....I don't get to decide if my grandson is old enough to swim alone. The office staff has decided that, no....no kids at the pool unless a resident is there.
New rule...I can't invite my son to bring his wife and 2 kids swimming....he'll have to leave 2 of them at home....sorry, Charlie.
They took an ENTIRE 18 months to fix my a/c. Only 3 of my burners on my stove work. They've never cleaned my carpets, painted, changed my a/c filter, refunded my pet deposit, provided a place for kids to play, completed laying the landscape rock, replanted dead plants, rarely fill the doggie poo bags, rarely empty the doggy poo box....
I've had to buy my own toilet seat, fix my light, fix my stove, wait 8 months for my dryer to work, and drive my grandson to the park to play.
Not worth it to live here.
UPDATE: Still no carpet cleaning. They've sent someone to fix my stove 3 times (still just 3 working burners).
Now they're remodeling. That means they have no motivation to, have me stay because they can remodel the unit and charge like $3000 mo for it.
Don't move here.
ADDITION: parcel lockers....more than half of the time my package notices go to my roommate, and then, when I go to get them......no lights. Rapey much??
ADDITION: HEY LOOK! More rules! Love the stern, fatherly tone combined with lightly veiled threats. God forbid they put together a plan for kids' birthday pool parties...no playground...guess we'll have them in the dog park!! Pretty dumb...they could make some sweet, sweet side money hosting them instead of chasing the residents around, growling.

For one, management allows more than the allowed residents per apartment. Like a family of 8 in a two bedroom apt lol with 6 cars taking up all the nearby parking since they keep all their extra beat down cars on parking spots. Am I still living in Katy?! As much as I used to be content living here I WILL NOT BE RENEWING MY LEASE FOR $2500/ month without utilities, that’s just crazy!!! For as much as I have complained about my car being hit 3 times from all the “extra” people living here, management has DONE NOTHING! There are literally no pros to living here for the price. Everything about living here is mediocre. Also, don’t worry, there are cameras… for decoration that is. Because it’s not for actually viewing them and keeping residents in line or when you need them to be viewed should you have an issue on property. Not once has the new manager EVER called me to discuss the issues I’ve had with all the extra residents, as I have requested multiple times. So since management doesn’t care to consider talking to me, I hope this review finds its way to corporate and any people looking into moving here.
Like other people on reviews, yes management sends out mass emails pretty much barking out new rules. Ma’am, there are ways to address residents as I am not a child and if you actually took into account who lives here maybe you wouldn’t have too many issues at this point. Property has not only declined in the past years but the pricing continues to increase significantly. My renewal came in the same price as a 6 month lease for a 12 month lease. How does that make sense?! Charging current residents more to make up for your decreased occupancy % is pretty low. I love the area, but this property is NOT worth the price tag. Management should first follow their own rules and regulations with new people they’re accepting into the property and properly managing the conditions for which their current residents are living in before implementing new rules.
Word of advice: not worth it. Feels like I’m living in a low class property and which was NEVER the case a few years ago. No thank you. That was my last renewal. Fyi, the best reviews are from new residents, which know nothing about...
Read moreGoing on 2 years and since a few people have left and new people came in, it's not the same. They don't show that welcome home attitude nor empathy with what you are in need of. At one point I called in about a situation and the young lady was paying attention more with what they were talking about in the office than my issue. Puts me on hold without even telling me and then comes back and doesn't even know what the issue was about.
I've done so many feedback on the J research survey we get and I have placed on there that I want a call back, never get the call back.
My first year was way better, great people in the office. Very attentive with what was needed. I got a complaint because my son at one point late at night jumped off a chair and I was called from the office. No worries, I asked to a first floor and paid all of the necessary fees. That was no bother and the office was very helpful with the move. Again, not the same people now. So I moved in to the second unit and placed on the move in form all of the issues I had that needed fixing, they came and the top lock was on but to my defense they had always come in my home through the garage. I called in about it and they explained they can't do that anymore, understandable. I asked for them to come again. 2 weeks without the top lock and they never came. I asked to power wash the front door and porch because it looked like an abandoned apartment and they didn't come. I called about that, they said it was because of covid they couldn't come to the apartment, I said the power wash is for outside not inside. She couldn't give me an answer. Another thing was when we moved into the second unit all of sudden we got these charges from the power company, and we had our own. That took almost 2 months to take care of and I had to submit the proof like twice. So, would I have recommended this before yes, but now I don't know.
