Kaukauna Municipal Pool — Local services in Kaukauna

Visited today for the first time this year since the remodel was completed. Everything looks very nice- we are so lucky to have this right in town. Lifeguards seem to pay close attention. Staff is friendly. They do take cards when entering and at the concession stand. All the prices for concessions are very reasonable. The fries I got my son were soft and mushy, but he didn't seem to care he was too excited to get back to swimming. Everything else was good. We didn't go over into the splash pad area, but everything looked like it was working. The only improvement I could think of would be maybe 40ish more chairs. There is a ton of wasted concrete space as there aren't enough chairs. People who didn't have chairs went over into the grass like I did. It didn't feel too crowded- that was something I've been wondering about. There were a lot of people when we got there are 1 and it had dwindled down significantly by about 4. If you're looking to avoid the crowd it seems the later in the afternoon is best. Overall I'd say it's now a tie between Erb and Kaukauna...

I went there with a group of kids and the pool rules are that kids aren't allowed to be in the water past their shoulders. (No matter the confidence of the swimmer). If they are out past where their shoulders aren't seen the lifeguards blow their whistle until they are. The danger with this is that people eventually tune out the seriousness of the whistle because the whistle is being blown so often. Not to mention there is no challenge for kids to actually swim. Also, they do have to pass a swim test to go off the diving boards but they have no bands to tell who passed and who didn't. The place seemed clean and even had a playground. Went to the pool Friday july 12th, 2019 and was told there was new times for the pool. That the night swim Saturday- Thursday was 6:30 to 8:40. So after a long day of doing thing with my boyfriend in the heat I went to take the kids to the pool and they said it was closed for private event but they did not have a sign up to let people know in advance. So we get there my daughter who is 2 was really excited to go and when I told her we couldnt she cried for 10 minutes. If you have a private event coming up you should have a sign up so that people like me dont come to the pool and have to leave because of it. I was really disappointed and upset because I had to tell my daughter she couldn't...
