YOU NEED BETTER SYSTEMS IN PLACE FOR WHEN POWER GOES OUT! You have no emergency line, no body you can call and get info from, no estimated time it'll be back on. NOTHING. So now we are sitting here when it's 20 degrees in the middle of a snow storm, no heat and I have my child here! Yet when I walk outside our building is the only one without power! How does everyone around us have power except us??? DO BETTER KAUKAUNA UTILITIES! people have kids that would like at least a little bit of info on what's going on! Yall better be adjusting my bill thos month as well! And you can pay for my hotel if I gotta stay in one. How bout that?

EDIT - Now you guys have the nerve to increase rates? So now we get to enjoy 220$ electric bills for electric that goes out when we get just light snow or light rain? Hey Kaukauna utilities, where did the 3 million dollars in federal money go that was supposed to be uses to improve our grid? Because it sure as hell didn't go towards improving the grid! Have had Kaukauna Utilities for about 10 years now. In the past, I have never had to contact them other than to have our address changed. Today we came home to half our house without power...keep in mind it was 7pm on the Friday of Labor day weekend. I called the emergency line and they sent someone right out. We ended up having a short in the line to our house. They were very imformative and kept us in the loop as to what was happening. They had power back to the house within a few hours. They worked quickly and were very apologetic for the problem (like they have any control over an underground wire shorting out). Overall, they made a tricky situation very easy...

Sure, prices are slightly lower as people have mentioned, but you get what you pay for!

Why is that we have outages every 1-2 weeks, yet WE Energies across the street is always up? 18 years down the street and we had 2 outages, I've been here 2 years and the power is completely unstable!

Be sure anything you care about has good surge protection! I have a high-end theater and power conditioner, for the first time ever I repeatedly get surge alerts since I've moved here.
