Love Foodland Keaau... Would have given 5 stars but had to give you 2 stars bc the only constant irritating problem is the Deli. No matter how much we tell the clerks there nothing gets fixed...The fried chicken is always over fried & dry as heck like the Sahara dessert...Seriously...no exaggerating for reals... Doesn't seem like y'all change your oil regularly as well as ck it or time the frying. Some days its scrumptious but most is nothing but inedible bone no meat. That is a HUGE disappointment when driving so far away. There is a local short heavy set wahine been there for a bit, that is rude and sassy constantly serves me the burnt chicken even if its not appealing she digs in the pan under the nice ones and gives the dry chix cause i tell her not the over fried chix pls. I also place an order go shop than I pk it up open it when I get home & almost always I get dry over cooked chicken... pls fix this we normally love the chicken and spend all our shopping at this store.. Fix that and all will be...

If you want a dependable grocery store to shop at, this is not the place. At least half a dozen times now I’ve attempted to use their deli department arriving well before the department closes only to be told by the 2 or 3 employees aimlessly wandering behind the counter pretending to be busy that they’re closed and are unable to even slice some deli meat. Each time there’s a different excuse as to why they closed hours before their listed time. The price tags on many items are also missing or the completely wrong price tag is under items. Seems as though the department of weights and measures doesn’t operate in Hawaii for some reason. The inventory is chronically low for many common items and they are priced at double what most of the grocery stores in Hilo are priced at. The employees are often completely apathetic and not interested in assisting customers in the various departments and store floor. They do have really good poké and Korean fried Chicken though so I gave them 2 stars instead of one. Do yourself a favor and just drive into Hilo to another...

I love this store in Kea'au. Always organized and the workers ...management...always friendly...It still remains a store with hospitality that reflects the island customs of service with Aloha ...I particularly love the availability of fresh local vegetables and fruits as well as the imported ones as well ...and the meat department...the meat department always has an amazing staff and management that will spend time with customers to help find that perfect cut of meat . If not they are happy to butcher you up exactly what you need...I am a super fan of Foodland Kea'au...I highly recommend this super market...it only give me an opportunity to show 5 stars ..when I would actually give the an...
