Comfort Inn Kearney - Liberty — Hotel in Kearney

We had booked a three night stay. We arrived at 8pm exhausted. I hung up my clothes quickly and went to crawl in bed and noticed food crumbs and dog hair. At almost the same time my child noticed noodles in the sink so I started looking around more. We found hair in the shower, the toilet was very dirty, boogers on the side table and some sticky substance on top of the side table. I called the front desk, they did not offer to move us to a clean room. I had already unpacked and just wanted to go to bed anyway. He said he would be right up. He came up with sheets only and cleaner and handed it to me to clean and make my own bed. The sheets didn't fit so I had to go downstairs to get the right size, guess what they were the same size. He brought me up king size sheets for my queen bed because they dont have queen size sheets. my daughter then finds two plastic bowls of ramen noodles in the microwave so I handed it to them when he came up with the sheets. I complained the next morning to the manager who was just smoking at the entrance door and she said she would inspect the room and have it cleaned like we were new guests. Housekeeping came to the room and asked if I wanted new towels. They had no idea they were suppose to clean my room as if we had just arrived. One of our beds comforter was all ripped up on one side. Breakfast was gross, biscuits were ice cold, Water all over the counter and floor, the trash was wide open with no bag in it and the orange juice was brown. My mothers room had one bed with food crumbs in it and the toilet was dirty, other than that her room was fine. My fathers room had one working light, all the other light bulbs were out. My aunts had no complaints that I know of but I was busy with wedding activities so I did not talk much to them about the rooms. We had like 10 rooms booked. Some of my family decided to use the pool so I went out to talk to them and there was a dead mouse in the corner by our table. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!! Don’t waste your money!!! I’m only giving 1 star because I have to give a rating. I have pics and video too b My 3 children and I made it to the the Comfort Inn hotel at appx 2:20 am. We checked in to a room on the 2nd floor, rm 212. The room was hot and smelled of urine. The was hair in the tub and it appeared it had not been cleaned(in weeks). The sheets on the bed closest to the window had stained sheets on it. The bed closest to the door hair straight hair on it. There were unknown splatters on the headboard. There were also ants in the room all over the towels. I called the front desk to have the issues addressed. The front desk clerk who refused to identify himself came to the room and changed the sheet. He left the nasty sheet on the floor beside the bed. He wiped down the tub and toilet but after his wipe down the headboards and toilet were still unclean. When I mentioned this to him he was rude and said he will just cancel the room and I could just leave. That way he would be happy and so would I. I inquired about a refund and where would I take my children at now 3 am? The clerk was very very rude and told me I could just LEAVE. I have never had service so poor as such as I did last night 04/22/2022. I spoke with the hotel manager this morning and he read notes the previous clerk left. The hotel manager acted as if I was wrong for addressing the situation where we were basically forced to stay in a room without air, ants, that wasn’t clean and reeked of urine. This facility is disgusting. I paid $252.00 and would like to request compensation. I will be filing a complaint with corporate as well as the Health Department come Monday morning. Please advise how I should provide housing for my children for another nights stay. We are in town for a football...

Update October 2025... We stayed here two years ago and the hotel was well kept! Now it is an absolute DUMP!! We checked in and the clerk programmed our keys. They didn't work. Back down... We finally got one to work. The room stunk. The TV didn't work. One bedside table lamp didn't work. The phone didn't work. The desk clerk was the only employee on site, and she tried to help, but want very successful. She did replace the bedside table lamp, but the phone couldn't be fixed. She got the TV guide up on the TV, but it still didn't work. After another trip downstairs to get new batteries, I still had to scroll through all the channels to get to the station I wanted. Very old school!! The sink area outside the bathroom was missing the cover over the light bulbs. There was a frig, but it was no longer built into the frig cabinet, but free standing along the wall. The carpet in the hallway and stairs was absolutely filthy, and obviously hadn't been vacuumed in weeks!! Totally gross place!! We just checked in and don't know how/if the shower works or if they have any kind of edible breakfast. Don't stay here!!! We won't be back!!

October 2023. This is a well kept hotel. It's just off the interstate so easily accessable. The front desk guy was friendly and efficient. The room was very clean and well lit. The WiFi was pretty fast. The TV was oversized and the remote worked! The bed was exceptionally comfortable and the place was quiet so we got a decent night's sleep.
