My bill was paid before 1 o'clock and they had turned me off without sending me a bill or a cutoff notice . Bill was paid before 1 o'clock . My wife is paralyzed on her left side and bed ridden most of the time. They're forcing the citizens of Kennett to pay for improvements to the grid. I don't think the citizens of Kennett should be forced to pay for something that the city already gets paid for In government grants. By the governor and the treasurer of the state of Missouri. Anyways they take that money from the citizens for improvements. And then the people at the power company won't even walk to the switch board and simply flip a switch to turn the power on for someone who has already paid their bill. Like it's an inconvenience to do what they are supposed to do. Something needs to be done to prevent anyone from being left out from the duties of the clgw employees. And I believe that all the one's who are being forced to pay for improvements we should hold stock in clgw for our contribution. It wasn't our fault that the power company and grid needs updating.    Read moreNow, I have lived in Kennett all my life. I have never seen what I have seen or had done to me in the time I have lived here. CLG&W has turned my electricity off 3 times in the last year. Once because I had forgotten about it and when it was due. Twice since the pandemic started to present day. But the last time is the worst. Because DAEOC had sent over $300 to them on our behalf, in which CLG&W stole that money. Because when our utilities got shut-off and we went to the office with the letter from DAEOC stating that they had sent that money to CLG&W. The woman at the window told us that that money had been applied for the month of June. Seeing as how we were paying for the month of May, I was really confused. But it does no good to argue with these people. So we ended up paying the bill again and that is when I started doing some research. To that I say there is far touch information about how they are governed. So I will say this, CLG&W are not monitdered by any government agencies. To print a copy for me on the 8th. He was going to charge me $3.00. That is not "customer service". That is ridiculous!!! The post office does not have the billings, so they are probably still at your outsourcing facility. I have talked with the Mayor and the Board of Public Works about this, and the poor customer service. Shame on you! I know the other ways to get the bill, but I want to get it in my p.o. box.
