Initially, with relatively good reviews of this place I was excited to bring my family here to try out the food. The atmosphere..boy where do I start? Black, dusty Cobwebs hanging from the ceiling and black mold growing on the corner of the ceiling above where the employees walk in and out of the kitchen area..We should have walked out after seeing that. Our appetizer came and I was just misinformed what exactly it was.Okay, MY bad.We thought that the wontons had cheese in them, instead they came out with no cheese and just a tiny piece of hard, almost beef jerky-type consistency in the middle of the crunchy skin. I politely asked the waitress if we perhaps there was a miscommunication during the order and immediately she had a bitter attitude and was defensive telling us to eat them and use the sauce (nearly dipping her finger in the sauce bowl pointing). We wondered what our entrees would be like..and we were of course were disappointed to say the least. My fiancé ordered the fried almond chicken and it came out drowning in thick, slimy(how my 7 year old described it) sauce. The chicken itself was permeated throughout in the oil they used to fry it causing the bread to be mushy and moist and tasting like old oil.The fried rice was so-so and just about the only thing we could bear to get down. The rest of our visit here we felt unwelcome and it was awkward because of the waitresses attitude. One star deserved. Hope we don't get food poisoning from...
Read moreI'm a regular customer of Chopsticks since 2019. I love their food and especially their egg flower soup. I've had COVID this past week & was very ill, I made an order through Uber Eats which I rarely do, but I couldn't get out of bed. I ordered Egg Flower Soup at lunchtime which was 11.99. When I ordered it it was 16.99. I tried to re do it, but it happened again. Then I went to order steamed rice, it was 4.95. As soon as I ordered it the price for a small portion of rice went up to 8.99. I just ordered the soup and called Chopsticks to see if they could put a side of plain rice in. I've probably easily spent over a thousand dollars there in the past few years. She yells at me for using UBER eats. Telling me it expensive. I try to explain how sick I am with COVID. She then talks to the other owner and they offer me half of my soup in order to get some rice, "because I don't need all of that soup." I said no thank you. I guess I'll have to make rice here. I was too weak to make anything and went with only the soup to eat all day because they refused to put a little side of plain rice in a 20.00 order for a regular customer who was very sick at home. This was the worst customer service. They lost a regular customer over less than 9.00. I'm really heartbroken. I loved that place. But being treated like I was only money to them was...
Read moreUpdated review july 2025 - service(judy), price and food all up to 5 stars on a regular basis. Dont skip eating here
Food shouldn't have to make up for lack of service. They told us we weren't able to dine in after we got the same older guy as last time. You're better doing to go orders but they charge for every little thing that goes with your to go order ( sauce packets, chili oil , etc)
To owners - we would love to come back but refuse to if that older gentleman is there. Please keep updated on the nights that will have good service moving forward 🙏 we don't live in the area so it would be very disappointing to drive there and be turned away or sit with super uncomfortable service again
Update June 2025 - the rude guy is gone, safe to come back and eat
This is a small, family owned business . The in dining experience as of July 2025 is still great, the waitress putting in time to remember orders to new customers. Also, I want to point out , my first half of this review does have to do with the price gauging on to go items , BUT in dining is a different experience all in itself , and the portions they give are very generous. In dining is very reasonable, and they've listened to customers with that they're able to. Also important to remember, the workers are really hard working and do try extremely hard to keep their...
