Just received the most uncomfortable customer service I’ve experienced in a long time when I picked up an online order. I was in the area and had hoped to pick up my order using curbside pickup, which is clearly stated as an option on the website and in my email confirmation. I called and asked if it would be possible to do curbside pickup and the person working responded “umm, no.” which was highly awkward to even respond to. She later stated that there was only one person working so I said that it was fine and I could come in to get it. The only reason I didn’t just walk in in the first place was because I received my COVID vaccine booster this week and had not felt well after, so I didn’t really want to interact to much with others when it could be avoided.
When I arrived in the store, Beth was behind the checkout desk complaining to the other person working with her about the fact that I just called and asked if it was even an option. “Is she seriously expecting curbside right now? I mean good grief!” Hi… I’m standing right here. Mind you, the entire experience both on the phone and in the store, I am not being demanding or rude at all. I simply called to ask if it was an option, which I would not have asked if it wasn’t heavily advertised as being an option. And I can definitely appreciate being short staffed and unable to offer curbside service due to short staffing, but when I walk in, you’re complaining about me to a second staffer, neither person was even helping anyone in the store. Overall it was a very demeaning and insulting experience and as much as I love Hallmark, I can’t say that this experience is one I can recommend to others or want to go through again. Very...
Read moreWorst customer experience ever. Manager Jeff said as we walked into the store “what brings you into my store?” We had nothing in mind, so we said just that we were looking around. He replied with OK. Have a good day then bye-bye. And walked away. Thought it was a bit odd, but we continued to look. We later did have a purchase, and when I asked him to cash me out, he basically looked at me with a blank face and said well you blew me off in the beginning, so I turned my registers off because I had assumed you were not going to purchase anything since you were just looking around. So I can cash you out but it’ll take a few minutes to turn the registers back on.
Since when does looking around mean, we’re not going to purchase anything??? It was very rude. Apparently we need to have a specific item in mind before entering the store. Truly this person should not be a manager, nor should they even be dealing...
Read moreRude manager. He asked me twice if I needed help, I said I am just looking for stuffs for my kids and said no thanks. He followed me again and asked the same question that was asked 5 seconds ago. Like hello? Can a customer shop in peace? Second time he was rolling his eyes when I said no thanks. What a rude old man. If you can’t deal with customers shopping here, then don’t open the shop. Not going to...
