Totally tea — Restaurant in Kentwood

No longer what’s advertised. My girls love this place, we were here a couple times while doing some Christmas shopping and had good service with the prices as advertised. Stopped in today and went to order, and was told they were out of small cups only large. So of my 3 children, one said she didn’t want a large so opted not to get one, so we ordered 2. The advertised price is $4.99 for small and $5.99 for large. After ringing up our 2 the guy told me the price was $19.98. I said umm, how is it that expensive, and he told me it was extra for the boba pieces, but it never had been previously, for the specific drinks we got. My daughters then decided they would just share 1, then the guy proceeded to tell me if we still bought 2 he would take the extras off and still give it to us. We said okay, he then told me my total was $15.97….still extra on there by my count, but the girls were so excited for their drinks I didn’t bother arguing. I went to use my credit card and the guy covered the credit card tap machine and said cash only. When I went to question him my daughter said she would use her $20 bill she had since I don’t carry cash, and she handed it to him before I could say anything. He then handed her $4 in change, not even the exact change….then he proceeded to do some things on the register. I’m pretty sure he was voiding the transaction to pocket the cash. As we were walking away with our order he tried to pull the cash trick on the next person and when they were about to walk away he let them use the magically working again credit card machine. When going back past a little bit later I noticed the smaller cups hidden further back behind the counter…so they are scamming people to buy the larger ones…charging over the listed advertised prices….trying to add outrageous add ons….then are lying about cash only. We will not be returning again at this point. I regret not walking away in the first place, especially now after seeing reviews about the cleanliness...

Very deceptive sales. They claimed the only size drink available was a large ($6.75 each). I ordered 3 larges, all with boba which I later noticed was an extra charge. On their sign it states $.75 extra for boba, but they charged us double that, $1.50 extra per drink, because they claimed it's more boba for the large. There wasn't much boba in there, so I'd have to believe it would be the same amount of boba regardless of drink size. I didn't catch the upcharge until after they had charged my credit card, to which they then said there was "nothing they could do." Very disappointing, the drinks weren't great, and we won't be back. My smoothie had an okay taste but the consistency was slimy and reminiscient of human spit. Definitely not worth the $8.25 we had to...

i have no way to describe the DISGUST i feel right now. i recently ordered a boba on 12/18 and i found dirt and floaties in my drink. it took 30 minutes to make, and it wasn't even the right drink. the workers there seemed to not care about the debris in my drink, or that i'd been given the wrong one after i complained. one of them said to me "thats how it is supposed to be" i knew it wasn't because i go often. i felt ignored with my problems, and this was the first time ever. i used to love this boba place, but it seems no one care about this kiosk in the mall. the place is filthy and the workers are rude. i wish i could say something good about this restaurant, but there is...
