Food Lion — Local services in Keysville

I will no longer be shopping at the Food Lion in Keysville. Three times I have called to pick up my order and was told by the automated voice that nobody was available to take my call.. after one ring. Several times I have waited twenty minutes or more in a hot vehicle with as many as five children - one of them a newborn - for my pick up order. One of those times I was literally told that they forgot I was out there. My partner spoke to the assistant manager there who shrugged and basically said it's not his problem. He called the corporate office, who basically shrugged and also said it's not their problem. If you want to shop at a store that cares about their customers, you may consider avoiding Keysville Food Lion. They seem to feel that since they are the only grocery store in Charlotte County they can treat their customers however they want. I went to food Lion today about 8 tonight I was standing in the line with 12 items or less sign lit up I waited a few minutes for an employee to come help me nobody came so I stood there another 5 minutes waiting thinking that somebody was going to come so I hollered across and ask the man if anybody was working there he said no he left the light on when he moved over there was a manager to win customer service and she said nothing she was there the whole time I was standing there with two teenagers talking 4 baskets behind me got in line and we all had to move because the boy forgot to turn off the light so of course I got at the back of the line behind all of the baskets with just two things in my hand I couldn't do it I set them on the counter and left out...

So we moved to the area just over a year ago. I have a severe alpha gal so I can't have any red meats. Every time we got a big pack of ground turkey meet it would be spoiled. My wife has paid for topdollar steaks just to get home and find that they are spoiled. You have to double check the dates on everything, because they are horrible at rotating their products like they should. I have made the same complaint several times and nothing is ever done about it. We have six kids and spend around a grand a month at the grocery store.
