I literally cried, for two hours. I know there’s a language barrier, so I tried my best to explain in very simple terms that I wanted natural looking nails. Squoval shape. I worked in a Vietnamese nail shop. I kept saying squoval and he kept telling me square. I was very vocal about what I wanted and his body language was that of irritation and he kept rolling his eyes. I tried my best to laugh it off. However after an hour of him still not getting the shape right, I just agreed to everything he showed me because I was tired and overwhelmed. I even went as far as typing in my translator app. He called me difficult and picky in Vietnamese several times and told his coworker that I didn’t know my shapes and I kept saying oval when it’s square. But I was saying SQUOVAL. I just gave up. Everything was ugly. I was getting nowhere advocating for myself. Then I called to get them fixed and the lady was so sweet, they offered to fix them but only at lunch which I work 10-8, so I asked to come in at nine and they said they would get back to me but never did. Like a said I’m a cosmetologist too. I do nails too. He didn’t even shape them after the initial shaping. The pictures are the inspiration photo vs. what I got vs. how I fixed it. I still paid and left tips, however I’m so disappointed. Adding more photos of how bad it looked.

As someone who has studied health science and sanitation, I am concerned for the safety of those who choose to use this salon. The staff was moderately friendly with the exception of my technician who didn’t seem particularly interested with doing my service. All of the tools he used on me did NOT come from an unopened sanitary package, but instead, hung on the side of his cart. The pumice stone and grater tool were also just in the bottom of a bucket on the cart. He eventually threw his cuticle trimmer into his box of unused gloves. He was very rough and cut me on multiple occasions without checking to see if I was okay. He was very aggressive with using his nails to correct his polishing. He coughed on top of my feet 4 separate times without even trying to move his head away or cough into his elbow. I have heard so many wonderful things about this place, and the rest of the staff seemed nice, but the lack of sanitation was concerning and the lack of care of this technician is why I will not return. I’m shocked and hoping that I do not get sick or an infection.

Absolutely horrible experience. Here is the inspiration photo vs. the reality photo. When my daughter told them she was unhappy, he basically told her, Oh well, we won't change them. She called me crying because she was so upset so I called the salon and I was told the same thing. After several minutes of back and forth, he said she could come back the next day and all he would fix is the flower but nothing else. He also said some pretty nasty things about the fact that she is in college and needs to take care of this herself because she is an adult. Above everything else, that was the most uncalled for load of crud! She did speak up for herself and was completely shot down and embarrassed by the owner.
