In this environment we find ourselves in I would rather spend my money with the folks that make up my local community not with the faceless big box stores. I spoke a person that I assumed was a salesperson. I asked them if they had futon mattresses. The woman on the other end stated," yes we do". My response was that I would be there shortly. I arrived at the store a salesperson, my guess it was the same person with whom I spoke on the phone took me upstairs and showed me their collection of futons and mattresses. I sat down on two of them. I thought they were both comfortable and supportive, at which point I related to the sales person that I would like to purchase the item, this item being a futon mattress. She stated that she would check the back to see what they had on hand. She was out within 2 minutes, she said they had none in stock. I told her I'd be interested in another color. She said that she had no stock on any futon mattress. She said that I would be able to order one in a color that I wished for. I asked how long that would be. She said a few weeks. Well my guess I was lured to the store on false pretenses. Since my choice was limited as to where I can buy said product, I was forced to purchase the same exact name brand futon mattress for $100 less then was listed on each futon on the second level of Bill's furniture. I do believe if I ordered the product I would probably have been asked to leave a deposit. I'm pretty sure that deposit would have gone right to that person's commission, meanwhile I would have to wait for the item that she told me...
   Read moreI was a little doubtful when I walked in the store as I didn't see a salesman rushing up to me as they usually do. When I got to the counter there was a salesman (Collin) who was smiling at me and very pleasant. I told him I was looking for a La-Z-Boy recliner in blue but not power. He showed me many recliners which were either to big or hard for me to open and close or weren't the right color blue. I finally saw a blue one just the right size but it was a power chair. I decided to try it out. I was really surprised how well it fit and the ease of using the power buttons. It also has a USB port to charge my phone. They didn't charge to deliver it to my senior housing apartment in Dayville or pickup my old chair which really amazed me. Well after a month the padding on the top back of the chair was flatting out where my head goes. I called them and they came and took the top back part of the chair to fix it. I was a little concerned about how long it would take to get it back to me as well as would it be nice and soft the way it was before. Well the very same day they had it fixed and it is perfect.    Read moreI drove from the shoreline up to buy furniture. I ordered it before Christmas and they said it would be ready in February. I didn’t get it until mid-March and had to pay for delivery. They said it would be delivered on Saturday between 1-3 pm. They didn’t show up until 3:45 and not even a call to let me know. My weekends are valuable and I had to cancel plans because they were late. I called Monday requesting the reimbursement of the delivery fee and Jerry refused and was not even a little bit apologetic. He made excuses and implied that I was wrong to expect them to come at the agreed upon time. He was so rude. When they delivered, they did not provide an operators manual for the power recliner or info on the I Clean warranty. I had to request that they be sent to me. Ridiculous.
