Unfortunately, I was VERY disappointed in the service Liza provided to my daughter!! She altered her dress in an area that didn’t need altering, she denied she did it, but when I took it to another seamstress she indeed confirmed the area was altered and went above and beyond to fix it.

I went to discuss the issue with Liza, simply asking for reimbursement of the money it cost for the dress to be fix by another seamstress and she agreed, as long as I provided a receipt, totally understandable! I called her the next day to let her know I was coming over, with the receipt and she said she wasn’t reimbursing me, she said I was blackmailing her and that she contacted her attorney who advised her! She then preceded to say the dress didn’t fit my daughter anyway, with that being said, as a professional, how could you let someone walk out of your business knowing it didn’t fit!! If that were the case she should have fixed that issues, but instead, let her walk out of her business without even trying it on and knowing it didn’t fit!

Shiraz Alteration Center in Clark Summit 5708511000, was an amazing seamstress who addressed our issue with such compassion!! The look on my daughter’s face when she tried it on for the last time was truly beautiful, the biggest smile the biggest breath of relief and she looked absolutely beautiful!!

I am very disappointed in her service, first agreeing to reimburse me then going against her word and telling me she wasn’t going to. I wasn’t asking to be reimbursed for the money paid to her, just simply the money paid to another seamstress to fix her mistake. I hope no one has to deal with an issue like...

I had the absolute worst experience with Liza for my dress alterations. We only discussed adjusting the hem and straps during the fitting, but when I picked up my dress, she didn’t have me try it on (I take responsibility for that, but I trusted her). She casually mentioned she “fixed” a pull in the back of the dress, which we never discussed. I thanked her and left, assuming everything was fine. When I tried on the dress at home, it didn’t fit at all! I had tried the dress on four times before the alterations, and it fit perfectly every single time. I was panicked because my event was the next day, and now my dress was completely unwearable. I had to scramble to find a new seamstress who confirmed that the stitching on the back had been altered, something I never asked for. Thankfully, she was able to fix the mess in under two hours, but this situation never should have happened in the first place. I went back to Liza, expecting her to take responsibility for her mistake and reimburse me for the cost of the second round of alterations. At first, she acted somewhat reasonable and offered to refund me, but she quickly went back on her word. Instead of owning up to her mistake, she blamed me, saying I “never fit in the dress” and made excuse after excuse. She refused to take accountability, and when my mother called to resolve the issue, Liza hung up on her. Then, to make things worse, she blocked both of us on Facebook to sweep the issue under the rug.

I would absolutely not recommend Liza’s services to anyone. My experience was stressful and disappointing, and I hope no one else has to go...

Liza was absolutely phenomenal!!! I would recommend her to anyone. The entire experience was perfect. I purchased a dress for my daughters wedding and took it to be altered by the seamstress used by the store I bought the dress from. The store assured me its seamstress would be able to take in the dress easily. Long story short the seamstress did a HORRIBLE job on the dress. Distressed, I called Liza to see if she would be able to help me after seeing what a beautiful job she did on my daughter's wedding gown. Not only was Liza kind enough to help me when she was inundated with work; she fixed the work from the previous seamstress, took my dress in properly, and even made additional alterations to the dress so it would fit me better. When it was completed the gown looked like it was custom made for me. You couldn't even tell it was altered. She is ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE at her craft.
