I usually enjoy my Target visits. They happen frequently as my son likes to look at the toys. I use the target app for coupons, the holiday deals in Nov & Dec, and I have a red card. BUT my recent experience truly shows targets true colors. On tax free weekend I bought an Intex pool. 19 days later the price dropped $60. I was told by a Kingston employee to call corporate because all the managers were gone for the day. I called corporate. And was told they would not honor the price reduction because (1) their policy is 14 days on a price match and (2) it was a clearance item. I reminded the person that (1) it wasn't a price match if it's the same target store (2) I could just return the item get my money back and buy the one on the floor. But why should I have to drain a 6000 gallon pool to return it to get the $60 difference? Why?
There shop with confidence guarantee says: "Value at Target is about feeling a sense of satisfaction that you paid the right price without sacrificing experience, quality or style. We remain focused on simplifying the shopping experience to provide great deals when and where our guests want to shop".
This is a LIE and false statement after my experience today. The store and corporate quoted policy and procedure instead of satisfying a loyal customer. Even after my account was compromised I remained loyal. But what is my reward....? If they continue to nickel and dime customers they will eventually start to lose loyal customers. They lost...
Read moreSeveral years later: I attempt an exchange of gift items. A few clothing items that are just too big. I want the exact same items but in my size and was told no problem. I spent an hour searching through the disaster that is the store and was then denied for half of it stating its policy. Well its not policy or written anywhere, and they were unable to provide that proof at all. Just repeated the same thing without even offering an alternative. And if that's was. In fact the policy why didn't they just say so before I wasted my time searching for the replacements? Probably get your kids out from behind the counters spreading misinformation and get them out in the floor cleaning making it shoppable.
Refused to honor an "incorrectly marked" price and refused to acknowledge their mistake. First they blame other customers putting the back in the wrong spot. (Ironically stacked neatly and labeled with exactly the same product information) then when I asked where the product should be so he can show me the correctly labeled price he gave no answer and simply stated again he would not...
Read moreI don't like leaving negative reviews. I'll start with the positive - the person at the returns / pickup desk was very nice, efficient and helpful. The store was clean and pretty well organized especially considering school is starting, and it probably gets very busy there. The checkout people were super nice, in great moods, and accommodated me by scanning things in my cart that were heavy for me to lift onto the belt. Aisle signs are easy to read. Though, the returns / pickup needs better signage. It only said Registry and that was confusing. The reason for the lower stars is the food section. The products I bought, such as packaged donuts and frozen meals, ended up tasting subpar when compared to eating the same products when purchased from the grocery store. We were very disappointed by the quality of most everything we got. There also wasn't quite as much choice available - such as variety of flavors of Powerade - though that could just be store size. Idk why this happened with the quality, but I wouldn't recommend shopping for...
