Choosing the perfect time to visit, we lucked out with a weather that was just right, allowing us to leisurely enjoy our frosty treat. Finding respite under the shade of a majestic tree, we savored each refreshing bite and let the flavors dance on our tongues. I grew up in St. Louis and hadn’t been back to visit in over 15 years. Tropical Moose was the first stop on my list to visit again. I have so many fond memories of eating a snow cone on a hot summer day, walking around the Kirkwood Farmer’s market. They were closed for the season when we visited last week (mid-September), but the incredibly kind owners went out of their way to briefly open for us after I messaged them on Instagram inquiring about hours. I was super excited to try Tropical Moose over the weekend. But, unfortunately there was very little syrup on the Blue Hawaii I received. It just tasted like shaved ice with no flavor.
