Racanelli’s New York Pizzeria — Restaurant in Kirkwood

(THIS IS THE EUREKA LOCATION) Until a few days ago my family and myself frequented this restaurant regularly. Decent pizza, but over priced, but it was so conveniently located near us, it was worth it. We will never again step foot into this establishment. Carl or Karl, whoever is the General Manager for the Eureka location is fit for a straight jacket. He spoke, no he yelled at my girlfriend like she was a dog for their original mistake. When I called the next morning to speak to someone he answered. After briefly having an opportunity to tell him who I was and why I was calling, he immediately began raising his voice at me. My response was to raise my voice back and told him he was not going to speak to me like he does a lady. He immediately shouted and I quote, "Say that to my face, you know the address!" I was naturally infuriated but also stunned that this guy was a General Manager. To be honest I'd love to meet him, but going to prison over some lunatic isn't for me. So I emailed the owner John two days ago about my concerns and haven't heard anything back. So it's not as shocking to realize why Carl or Karl is a manager at John's Eureka location. If you have any self respect or love and respect for woman, I sincerely warn you to never do business at this Pizza joint. This is not an exaggeration or do I have any reason to tell this story, except for people's safety. If you want to still go there make sure this completely maniacal General Manager Karl isn't working! In my opinion, he's one step away from being an active shooter. Again, this is EUREKA, MO, not Kirkwood. Not sure why it says Kirkwood. It's Eureka.

Madeline is a complete and total TERROR!! For starters she didn’t have on a hairnet with long greasy Locs. She was very much overwhelmed, so much so that when I tried to complain about my order that I called In and was told the order would be ready in 30 minutes. When I called and stated I was outside I was told they couldn’t find my order and they would put a rush on it. I went inside to get my receipt and wait for my order. Upon receiving my receipt I noticed both were 10” I was never asked what size the 2nd pizza should be. The person that took my order assumed it would be a 10’. As I’m talking to the person that took my order Madeline walked up and rudely interrupted the conversation, cutting me off, rolling her eyes. She went so far as to tell me that she’s burning other customers orders talking to me. She had no regard for my order being missed no accountability! She was clearly annoyed talking to me and I just asked for a refund which she immediately gave to me and continued to be very condescending. I asked for a Coroprate number and was told they are independently owned and she’s the only person to talk to! This was my second experience at this location and she has clearly set the tone on what type of customers she would like to deal with. If I could’ve left a negative star review I would’ve! This place has gone downhill big time. The service is awful. The last few times I have come here the wait is a ridiculous amount of time even when you call ahead. I placed an order at 1:15 for a pickup. They told me to come at 2:15. I have been the only one sitting here for almost a hour. There are at least four employees working and no one acknowledging me. I also watched one of the employees on her phone, then directly touching the toppings without gloves on or washing her hands. Very disgusting and unsanitary. I am not sure why there has been no other customers in here the entire time I have been waiting, but the pizza is still not ready on time. If they didn’t make me pay up front, I would have definitely left and never picked it up. After an almost two hour wait for a single pizza, I received it and it is awful quality. The amount of cheese on my pizza makes it inedible. It’s dripping outside of the box. It’s completely doughy in the center and not cooked all the way. This is definitely my last time ever giving them a chance. Rather than refunding the order, they want me to drive 20 minutes back, to show them the mess up on their end. Horrible service, atmosphere, and food quality. Definitely overpriced as well. Save yourself the hassle and go to Dewey’s across the street!
