Outer Banks Salt Cave — Local services in Kitty Hawk

Outer Banks Salt Cave is absolutely amazing! We drive from Currituck, so about 20-30 minutes due to traffic, but well worth it. If we were closer, I would love to visit so much more often. We have gone a few times to do the Parent/Child Salt Booth to ease our daughter's allergy and cold symptoms. Within a day or two she always feels less congested. It's awesome to have an option that is so healthy and reduces the duration of her symptoms. I have also done the Salt Cave experience with a girlfriend as a fun treat. It is so relaxing and calming, every single detail is taken into consideration. You really don't even feel like you are in the middle of Kitty Hawk, you are world away in such a relaxed state with the calming music, lights, scents, and experience. Highly recommend to anybody looking for health or relaxation benefits. We will return...

The Salt Cave has a very calm vibe. I did a couple of 20 minute sessions in the booth to break up congestion and sinus issues. It worked wonders because you get a concentrated amount of salt in a short time. I want to do the foot massage and 45 minutes the salt cave on my next visit. That will be super relaxing. Update: The foot massage/massage chair session was 30 minutes. The massage chair was nice as expected, but the foot massager was really helpful. With power at mid levels, it was comfortable. Being a guy, I set the controls to full tilt. It was a bit painful, but I followed the "no pain, no gain" axiom. This actually worked out well, surprisingly. Love the whole experience. So much to offer patrons. Not just a salt cave, it’s the therapy booth’s, the heated Himalayan salt lamps for feet at the chairs while one waits, the semi precious jewelry to choose from, the educational materials. One can only educate themselves when stepping into this journey. For a cancer survivor and one who still deals with chronic pain on a daily basis, this is an excellent Outer Banks jewel and necessity even for me while on vacation.
