Petree's Flowers, Inc. — Local services in Knoxville

The flowers I received were beautiful. I spoke to the woman (I wish I remembered her name!) who was going to be making the flower arrangement and she was very helpful. I was not sure of the flower or arrangement that I wanted but she helped guide me and I ultimately trusted her to make a beautiful display of flowers for my event. This was also on a 2 days notice. She definitely delivered and the flowers were stunning and exactly what I was going for. The flowers were rather pricey but I am not sure what the going rate for flowers is. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about the flowers or the woman who helped me. I was a little worried because they have some rather weird or unique flower arrangements around the store and it can feel like a funeral flower factory. Even though there was nothing in the store similar to what I wanted, she still created the perfect display.

However, I almost walked out of the store after I arrived. I walked in and was promptly ignored by at least 3 workers who were standing behind the counter. Eventually I was addressed and told to wait at another 15 minutes while the 3 workers continued to talk amongst themselves. I had no idea what I was waiting for and if I wasn’t so desperate to find flowers I would have walked out. Eventually the woman who made the flowers came out of the back and helped me but it would have been nice to know what I was waiting for. I am absolutely gutted over the truly horrible casket spray petree sent to the funeral home for my mother's funeral yesterday nothing about it was what we asked for outside of the color. It was completely full of fake flowers and greenery and contain ZERO of the flowers highlighted in the photo selected, in particular pink delphinium and larkspur. Perhaps that could have been overlooked if it didn't look as if the owner hadn't allowed their grandchild to dig trash out of the bin and construct a project to keep them occupied while they were busy, but unfortunately, that's exactly what it appeared to be. The funeral of a beloved Mother is an important event for a family and this experience compounded our sorrow. We have received beautiful flowers from them in the past and very confidently requested the spray be done by them through the funeral home (which did a beautiful job on their end, Berry south). It was not until 1 hour before the service that we saw what a travesty had been sent, complete panic at that point, what can you do?!?!?! I wish I could give negative stars because that would be the only appropriate review on this manner I will forever tell anyone what an extreme disappointment this experience was. New in town and chose this place because I wanted to support local for mother's day rather than the usual preserved roses from a national company.

The "Blossoms in Vogue" looked unique and I chose the "Deluxe" level (79.99) because it had more roses than the "Standard". While what I received looks similar in color, it is nowhere near as full and includes about half the amount of flowers, compared to the picture.

It feels like a bait n switch here and I really regret opting for the local florist over the more predictable quality and experience of a larger national brand. I'm not going to call and complain or ask for a refund, but this is the honest review and I will not order from this place again.
