My husband and I are local and have been dining at the New Phoenix since we moved to La Center about a year ago. Sometimes the service is a little lacking. Sometimes it goes beyond "lacking" and is downright bad. Tonight it was atrocious. After being ignored for more than a few minutes, we left without being served when a staff member entered to socialize with the group of underage-looking patrons sitting next to us at the bar, and couldn't be bothered to acknowledge our presence.
If you enjoy being treated rudely or ignored by aging, overweight waitresses with bad attitudes, by all means hurry on over to the New Phoenix. If not, stay far, far away. It is truly remarkable that whatever passes for management at the New Phoenix allows patrons to be treated this badly. A visit to this casino is not worth the time or money it takes to get there, and it is most certainly not worth your dignity or self esteem. This place is truly awful. Beware of the New Frontier, I believe they are owned and managed by the same...
Read moreThe manager Chris put his hand around my neck and pulled me in and told me that I swore the last time I was there. I then checked out immediately told him that we need to step outside and talk about this. He’s decided to lie about grabbing my neck and told my friend, he never touched me. We asked him to grab the footage or I’m gonna call the cops. He grab the footage where it clearly shows his hand around my neck and pulling me in as he continued to lie I got extremely frustrating. I told him I’ll never come back here and I’ll just never gamble at your casino again. I feel bad for the employees. I go in there constantly tipping all the dealers and waitresses, but this is enough. This guy clearly is too comfortable touching people when he shouldn’t be touching anybody at all I work for the state of Washington and I know there’s an unwanted contact I could’ve easily have called the cops and made this way bigger deal but instead I’ll let your shitty casino rot in the middle...
Read moreFor the most part the staff was friendly. However when I interacted with Kyle is when night really took a turn. He wasn’t friendly, seemed like he didn’t want to be there, and ultimately very aggressive towards the players. It felt like a very unwelcoming environment that I would not recommend anyone looking to have a good time gambling should deal with. There were multiple interactions I saw where Kyle was verbally abusive towards players. He didn't seem welcoming like all of the other dealers and staff at the New Phoenix. Lastly what really put me over the edge was how uncomfortable my girlfriend felt but Kyle’s mannerisms. Ultimately I will be taking my gambling else where from the New Phoenix...
