4th Street Bar and Grill — Restaurant in La Center

This was the 4th or 5th and last time, supporting this business, unfortunately. Completely unacceptable behavior by the woman behind the bar when we walked in tonight and I’m guessing it’s backed by the owners. She’s served us before and she’s pretty sour. We’re 2 weeks from the mask mandate being lifted and we didn’t have them with us tonight. We walked from the front door, literally 3 feet to the first 2 chairs at the bar and she started screaming at us about no masks, all while her mask was underneath her chin. Every single person in the room was dead silent, with no masks on. One table offered us their masks (thank you kindly), but we have decided who we need to support these days and our money will go elsewhere. I own a business in Portland and Seattle and employ 95 people. I leave it up to each person to decide if they think they should wear a mask, and only “suggested” it to customers when Covid was bad. I am currently sitting up with my wife in the middle of the night as she is vomiting. She had an early dinner here. She had a chicken sandwich. She said it tasted off but thought it was in her head.

She had not had any other food before or since. She is violently nauseous and has been for hours now.

She described it as very busy and noisy, and I suspect the kitchen was rushed and they are already prone to cutting corners.

I noticed the bar recently had a health inspection, and it didn't do too well in food handling and pests.

Went to 4th street to meet friends. Everyone had burgers I had fettuccine Alfredo with broccoli, red peppers and a chicken breast. The burgers all came out very quickly. The Alfredo was about 5 minutes after. A little long to wait for the final dish. Everything tasted very good. The fries were seasoned and had good flavor. Everyone ate everything off their plates. Small little local town restaurant. Good atmosphere. Conversation was easy to have even as the restaurant filled. It was a very busy place when we left.
