Here is the review you've told others aboutā¦.. I wasn't going to write one for you, but now I think it's time. My cat began at your clinic with senior labs that were unremarkable. I thought you were going to be great, at first. I had empathy for you starting out and telling me about another person not being satisfied with you. In your notes, after his first procedure with you, you notated blood in his urine that was caused by the medical procedure you performed. Then before we knew it, he was diagnosed with stage II and III kidney disease after a few simple procedures of removing benign cysts and a teeth cleaning. On his last visit with you, you notated that he had a "mild" arthritis in his knees and gave him a shot of Solensia. Solensia has not been safety tested for cats with stage 3 and 4 kidney disease. It also has in the insert that it can cause renal insufficiency. It blocks nerve growth factor, which is basically a necessity for life and red blood cells. If there is not an excess in nerve growth factor, then Solensia blocks what is needed by the cat.
My cat had an x ray done this past December and it showed NO arthritis. I don't think that just disappears, so when you gave him a shot of Solensia, you harmed him. He ended up with renal failure within months after this shot.
We began with you in 2020 with senior labs that were unremarkable and ended with you in December 2022, and then renal failure in the first half of 2023.
In response to your first comment: I never mentioned loss. Another vet saved his life after his experience with you. Yes, the last time you saw my cat was on 12-13-2022. On 12-26-22, you noted that he had a "dx of arthritis (p was given Solensia) or the cyst was bothering him- " You gave him the shot of Solensia on 12-13-22. You didn't give a chance to see if the cyst was bothering him, but instead gave him a drug (solensia) without considering the risk. The last interaction was on May 15, 2023 where I cancelled his 6 month wellness check with you
In response to your second comment: The medical records are where I discovered that you gave him a shot of solensia. You never considered the videos I showed you about how another cat was coming to the door either and that there was a possibility that he was marking his territory by the door. The amount of āarthritisā you said he had was not affecting his ability to run, jump and play. He played way after that as well. He should have never been given a shot of solensia. Renal insufficiency is due to the blockage of nerve growth factor. After learning about what Solensia does to cats, Librela for dogs, and how blocking nerve growth factor was discontinued in human studies because of the damage done to cartilage, it makes me wonder why on earth vets donāt do their own research.
I also clearly remember you telling me his levels got too low during the procedure where you chose to pull a couple of teeth when he went in for a teeth cleaning and removal of a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI try not to give negative reviews, but it has been weighing heavily on my heart. Iām very disheartened about having brought my cat to Cat clinic. I thought as my cat was getting older, a specialty in cats would be great. My catās first visit was great. However, every time after, especially when they wouldnāt allow me to go in the back with my cat, it made my cat seem like a feral cat when he had previously laid belly up for the previous vet. He would growl, hiss and hit his kennel the minute we would walk up to the door. I was told it was because he was older and not feeling as good or that it may be because there were other cats. He was happy jumping and playing at home. He was not bothered by other animals at two other clinics afterwards. After they wanted to heavily sedate my cat with a sedative that remains in the kidneys, even though it was known that my cat had kidney problems, I decided to switch vets. I was also concerned about his stress level at Cat Clinic, in which he didnāt exhibit the level of stress and behaviors at two other clinics after leaving Cat Clinic. Another vet was able to give my cat an IV prior to hospitalization for kidney failure WITHOUT sedation. He was calm in their waiting room and exam room. One of the vets and a couple of nurses were able to pet my cat there. My catās new vet was also able to pet him and I was able to get my cat there much more easily than I ever did with Cat Clinic. It has nothing to do with time and you being a small clinic. It has more to do with my catās behavior and personality change when he went there. And YES, they want to overcharge! Jasmine had supposedly done a procedure but had to be repeated a couple of weeks later in which they charged me for again.
My cat was regretfully one of your patients. After speaking with a breeder, you should have never given my cat sedation unless it was in surgery. And remembering how my catās kidney problems began after his levels dropped really low during a simple procedure you were supposed to be doing started the decline in his kidneys. He has two other vets for many years before you: one from our home town and the other retired. Neither one of them had to sedate my cat to work with him.
It is well known in the vet world that those who are just starting have an insurmountable amount of student loans they need to pay off. So why not take advantage and create medical problems in the cats you see by sedating them each time? If you canāt handle a breed that is known to be calm and you create traumatic experiences for them, then you shouldnāt...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDr. Jasmine and the Cat Clinic team were so detailed and conscientious when it came to the care of our elderly cat, Dutchess, who has several delicate health issues that need to be addressed. She was careful about the order in which the issues were addressed and was very helpful for making a plan in the future, especially since we are moving and will need to find another vet to take over. She took my cat's specific situation into account when discussing the available treatment options, and we felt very comfortable with the options provided- Dutchess is like a new gal now too! Cat only vet clinics are a great idea because I feel like it gives the provider the option to focus on their expertise and provide specified care, which can really make a difference in situations like ours. For us, we were trying to use a water based ear medication that really wasn't ideal from another vet. The cat clinic recommended a better type of medication that is oil-based with a different application tube, which has worked SO much better as our cat has Scottish fold ears. The Cat Clinic is very busy and still provide detailed care through what i imagine to be sometimes a very stressful job, which is really impressive- Dr. J was able to provide some insights when a more urgent health issue popped up.
Thanks for all...
