Bangkok Thai Restaurant — Restaurant in Lafayette

I do not often leave reviews much less negative one. In all food is pretty great the service here has been the worst of the worst. The manager is one of the rudest and the most unprofessional people I have dealt with in my life. My wife and I had company over on Friday night and placed an order for the three of us. It took extra long for us to get back home due to traffic only to find out that the whole order was wrong. When calling into the restaurant we were told by the so said manager that they would comp the meal because of the mistake. The she switched up the story and told us that she would not hand send someone to pick up the food at 9:00 at night. When I called back after the incident to speak to the owner they young lady said they would call back. I never did receive the call. When I called back on Tuesday to speak to the owner the lady that claimed to be the manager said that she was the owner. Seems like she and the girl that I spoke to on the Friday both lied. 10 years worth of loyalty down the drain. Looks like I will be going back to Pimon Tai or Mae Sone...

I come here very regularly and love the food. I would give 5 stars but my last trip greatly disappointed me. I went to eat lunch with my daughters and wife. There weren2 tables filled in front of us, and a lunch crowd behind us. Our orders were taken very quick but i sat 50 mins before i had to leave with no food. 50 min wait during lunch is a very long wait. Inwent ahead and paid for our meals, asked them to box it up to go, and had to leave. My wife stayed an additional 15 mins waiting for our food. I had to miss lunch and had it sent home. The waitress was very pleasant, I blame this to be a fault of the back(cooks). The manager should have came out and apologized. Sorry but i dont know if i can go back after this experience. I just do not trust them to have my food...

I loved this place. The fish in lemon sauce was delicious, pepper-hot but not painfully hot. The flavors were fresh and balanced and bright. My son ordered a curry dish. I tried it, then offered to finish it for him if he couldn't eat it all. I also ordered an appetizer (Thai chicken wings - good, but not amazing) and cucumber soup. The cucumber soup never came, but by that point I'd eaten enough that I told our server I didn't need it. I liked our server, by the way. He was pleasant, and I didn't hold the soup against him. My son had the Thai tea, a creamy orange-colored concoction in a tall glass. It tasted like a dessert drink to me, far too sweet. But I don't like tea, so I'd never have ordered it anyway.
