I had an absolutely amazing experience today while going in to get my husbands and I’s rings cleaned and also for the six month warranty checks on them and chose to just run into the mall even though Kays was going to be closing within the next 20-25 minutes but still decided to go in especially since they were still helping other customers so I thought it would be super quick and was SOOOO GRATEFUL for the experience I had while in there. I felt bad when I went in there close to their closing time and after the cleaning and warranty check was finished I didn’t end up getting out of there until 7:38 PM, so that caused the employees to not be able to leave at their scheduled closing time which was was at 7:00 PM which I felt bad about but they didn’t make anyone feel bad about being in there it was absolutely amazing! I had the pleasure of having the most caring, helpful, and kind employee that I’ve really never experienced before in any other stores I’ve EVER been to and that is A LOT but to me it just shows that there are people out there that want to help make a persons day just by their positive energy and presence on everything. A lot of the times when you cause a store to not close on time you can be treated really crappy and this is one of the first times that I was actually feeling like I was wanted there and it didn’t matter that they were closing soon this person took their time with me, and they explained so many questions that I had for them, and just really took their time on me in every aspect (and even though the store was past its closing time and people were walking in wanting to get things done, this person was so kind about letting them know but still treating them like he wanted to help them and that’s just amazing to me!) I wish that there were more people like him. His name was Nasiar (I have no clue if I spelled that right) but I did ask him if he had a nickname that he went by and he said he also goes by Jayce so I really hope that by hearing the names I listed that EVERYONE that is in the Kay’s Corporation knows who I’m talking about because he really deserves a shout out. It was in the Tippecanoe Mall in Lafayette, IN. The world would be so much better if every person was like him! I’m looking forward to when I need to go back in next and hopefully I get to have another positive experience with him like that again! Thank you so much Nasiar/Jayce!!! P.S.- my ring looks absolutely...
Read moreWe just move here from the Terre Haute area and this month our ring inspections are due(engagement, wedding band and his band) and it just so happens I broke another prong on my engagement ring yesterday. So I went in they seemed nice and helped me right away inspected and checked both our bands. I showed them the engament ring which he suggested changing to Platinum as it is harder and may not break as easy. However, when he got to the warrenty part he tells me to fix the prong it's not covered under my warrenty and would cost about 250 to fix also told me I had a chip in my center stone. Which last I knew was an inclusion(?) Or just a flaw in the stone. Now last time I bent a prong it was covered so I left as I did want to discuss the possibility of switching to Platinum with the husband which they quoted at about 450. I was pretty sure fixing the prong would be covered so I called my husband and he agreed, I tried customer service and since I'm not the one that bought the ring they couldn't give me information, so I called the wonderful staff at the Terre Haute location who we originally bought the ring from and they confirmed repairs should be covered under the warrenty. So with that and based on other reviews of this Lafayette store I will be driving to Terre Haute to have the prong fixed (or changed to Platinum) and if the stone needs replacing I have more confidence in the team at the TH location in the Honey Creek Mall, they always seem to remember us or at least my ring and we get our rings back within the time frame...
Read moreI just wanted to say Thank you Bree and Victoria for the excellent service. I’ve been a Kay’s customer for 20 plus years and over 2 years ago I had some of my jewelry sent out for repair, I received a call to pick my jewelry up and I get there to find out that the jewelry shop stated they couldn’t repair my earrings and they deformed and destroyed my 1st wedding band that went in for repair on re-setting 1 diamond that fell out. At this point we were absolutely done with Kay’s. Well I couldn’t actually been done with Kay’s because I have several pieces of jewelry from Kay’s still under warranty. Well about 1 1/2 ago I went into Kay’s to have my jewelry inspected to keep the warranty and that’s when I met Bree the new store manager, while inspecting my rings and a few other pieces, I brought up my previous experience and what happened to my earrings and wedding band and she said bring your jewelry in and I’ll see what I can do and she apologized for what happened. So here I am a 1 1/2 later getting my rings checked out again for my warranty and I bring my earrings and wedding band in that was destroyed and I just got my earrings back and they look absolutely amazing! My heart is happy. These earrings mean a-lot to me I wore these earrings for my wedding. I can’t thank you enough Bree. Thank you for listening to me and going above and beyond to get my earrings fixed and for sending my ring out not just one time, but now twice to try and get it fixed. Mandee...
