Sound Advice — Local services in Lafayette

These people were extremely helpful. My ethernet port was fried after a thunderstorm, and the folks at Dell told me I'd have to replace the whole motherboard (which would run me $200+.) But I went to Lafayette PC, was greeted by a friendly guy who IMMEDIATELY set up and examined my PC, and within 10 minutes he told me I would NOT have to replace the motherboard, and provided me with a range of options for getting my internet back, none of which would cost me more than $70. I chose the cheapest option (around $50) and had internet within 15 minutes of arriving home. :)
