CONSUMERS BEWARE!!!!!
What on earth has happened to our beloved chicken spot since their inception on South street?
Don't get me wrong. On a non-busy day, the food, services, and customer services are on point. But lately there's seems to be a BIG issue during their transitioning with an entirely newer staff.
I've witnessed food being returned with major complaints about how the food was prepared, cooked, or served. It's as if they are now rushing food out their doors...when there's not even a crowd outside nor inside the premises these days.
And as far as the drive thru...IT WOULD BE A GOOD IDEA TO CHECK YOUR ORDER AND COST OF YOUR PURCHASE EVERY SINGLE TIME! I believe that the staffers have found a creative way to stick up the store from within. By charging you separately for things that are advertised as a single item...then later adjusting the till counts, in order to collect their extra earnings through "bean-count stealing." I was recently charged $13.00 for pies that are usually under two bucks apiece. And when I attempted to address the matter before leaving the establishment...I was then confronted by staffers, who were threatening to call the police on me, and I wasn't even being hostile.
When the customer is always right, it doesn't really apply here. Especially if you're running the risk of exposing someone's "inside hustle,"at such a lovely eating experience. So personally, I wouldn't use my credit cards through the drive thru. I'd check my order thoroughly before I leave there. And when it comes to interacting with hostile spirits.....if you're not into fast food confrontations, I'd just avoid this location altogether, and waste the gas making it to the westside, and eat from...
Read moreI’m so happy that Popeyes has finally made it to the Lafayette/West Lafayette, Indiana community. I’m patiently waiting for the West Lafayette location to open.. I eat Popeyes about twice a month, of course not at this location because it’s brand new….
After 3 attempts of the eating at the Lafayette, Indiana location; today was the day there wasn’t a mile long of cars, so I decided to get my Popeyes….
Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with the flavor and quality of the food. The service was slow, yet I wasn’t going to allow that to ruin my wait or deter me from ordering…
When I’m not ordering a Family meal, I always order spicy wings with red beans and rice. The spicy chicken didn’t have the spicy flavor that all the other locations have. It tasted as if they forgot to add some spice to the chicken or the restaurant isn’t using all the ingredients for the flavoring of the spicy chicken.
Also, the chicken wasn’t all the way done, and it didn’t have the very crunchy skin. Hello Lafayette, Indiana location….We eat Popeyes for the flavor and the crunch of the skin, which creates the uniqueness of the Popeyes brand…
People that are familiar with the brand will understand my concern. People that are unfamiliar with the brand will wonder why they were hyped up to eat the food which doesn’t taste like it was described to them by “word of mouth”
Also, I would have loved to use my offers and added to the rewards that are on my Popeyes app, yet that isn’t made available for this location.
Thanks...
Read moreHow to say very frustrating. Have rated for Popeyes for the Lafayette area forever. My husband drove is there this afternoon and we drove there because the website said it was open 9 to 5 today. Got over there and a guy had just told someone else they were closed to the public so he turned around and told us that. It wouldn't bother me so bad if they would have listed that on the website they're actually only serving police and fire department personnel today. That's fine with me I don't mind that they're doing that but would rather not have made a wasted trip and got my hopes all up because the website did not state that. It said straight out hours of operation 9 to 5 so a little bit on the frustrated disappointed side right now doesn't mean I won't go there but going under protest right now so to speak LOL my feelings have been hurt LOL. Actually my feelings weren't hurt but I was agitated because really was looking forward to eating here so we wasted gas and time and energy today for something that wasn't open to the public just for police and fire department personnel which like I say I don't mind that it would just been good to have known that today was just a special day and we would have just waited another day without wasting time and gas bad Popeyes LOL well bad Popeyes...
