Left Misled and Unappreciated as a Customer! Poor Customer Service!

Very very disappointed today!!! This is my second visit here which I thought would be a second round visit of being a happy customer. Not the case. I received an email for an 25% off Labor Day coupon. I walked in the store located in Laguna Hills and told the cashier that I received an email for their 25% off Labor Day Special and that I wanted to know the specifics. He CONFIDENTLY told me it applies to ANY popcorn IN the store and that it was valid TODAY. I grabbed the Spicy Chicago and asked if they had any fruit popcorn for samples; he showed me their whiteboard of sample flavors and I asked if I could try the Cheddar Cheese. While I was sampling it, the guy RUSHED ME asking if “that'll be it?” I barely replied because he then picked up an incoming call. He spoke to, what I assume was the owner or manager, and I over heard him rudely say (in front of me) “well I have a customer here now and she won’t be happy about it.” He got off the phone and told me that the Labor Day coupon ALREADY EXPIRED. I presented him the email and said it states an expiration date of September 4th; today is the 3rd. He shrugs his shoulder and said he was told that the coupon expired already. Instead of offering to HONOR the misleading coupon, he said he could look up my phone number to see if there’s any special deal. The only discount was a purchase off a small popcorn. How disappointing!!!

The email clearly states an expiration of September 4th. I was unsure if this coupon was valid in-store which is why I asked the cashier for clarification when I walked in. He told me it was valid TODAY on anything in the store. Then the narrative changed after a random phone call, and I was told it was invalid due to expiration?!

I am not sure of why the narrative changed and don’t appreciate being misled as a customer. I was told one thing and then another.

Never coming back!!! Maw n’ Paw left me disappointed. I will no longer be referring Maw n’ Paw to my friends, family, and coworkers. I experienced complete POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE today. Maw N’ Paw, please adjust your policies and train your employees better to ensure happy customers. TWO THUMBS...
